| Take Every Thought... |

The enemy can put thoughts into our head… invade our mind so to speak. He wanders around like a lion seeking who he can devour. The bible tells us to guard against this. But sometimes we let our guard down…I know I do, and suddenly there he is telling me things that I know I shouldn’t be thinking, telling me it’s okay, that I’m justified in thinking such and such. I struggle with this. But I don't have to...
10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh 10:4 (for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the casting down of strongholds), 10:5 casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ; 10:6 and being in readiness to avenge all disobedience, when your obedience shall be made full.
These scriptures say God has given us weapons to fight off the thoughts the enemy plants in our minds. We have the authority in Christ to take these thoughts captive and cast them out in the name of Jesus. We don’t have to be a victim to the enemy of our souls. By using the full armor of God, the sword of the spirit and the shield of faith, we can be more then conquerors in Christ Jesus. We are victorious when we stand on the sure and firm foundation of our Mighty Savior. Praise God!
Dear Heavenly Father,
I can do ALL things through CHRIST who strengthens me. Thank you, for your strength and protection. Whenever that old devil comes at me with temptations, I will remind him that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and has saved me. Because of that, I can rebuke Satan by standing on scripture and leaning on you for my help. I need you so desperately. This week is tough all ready and there is more to come. Help me open my eyes, ears, and heart to your word and your prompting. With thanks in my soul I pray, in the name of Jesus.

| Amen! I struggle with this as well, but I am doing better. Still when we get down, satan seems to know this and hits us when we are down and out. |

Sometimes we are just too tired to pray for ourselves...you know like when Moses needed help holding up his arms so the Isrealites would win the battle, we need others to hold us up in prayer. Asking for prayer.... that's a hard one for me, I don't know why, but I'm getting better at it (thanks MyChurch). Deb... your blogs touch my heart. You seem to be someone that feels things deeply, and when the feelings are good well.... it's wonderful, but when they arn't then the feeling of hurt can go very deep. I know, I'm the same. And that's when the enemy gets us. I will pray for you, for a hedge of protection around your heart, and strength to pick up your shield, and for friends that don't need to be asked to pray. | Robin...I guess you can take it off to sleep or to wash your hair, but other than that you better watch out! I strongly suggest you wear your helmet any time you are watching TV or listening to the radio. If the devil is smart he would know that we could locate him by evil "thoughts"
Jesus said the devil was so clever that he would mimic and camouflage himself as likened to good images.
If you really want to keep an eye out for these devils........keep at least one eye on the good looking religious structures of your thinking.
p.s.....yes True and it will take the Holy Spirit to help us locate the counterfeit "God like thoughts."

I agree w/you in your prayer Robin, Amen, and Amen
I used to question God why He was so hard on people in the OT who messed up around the Holy Place, and the Ark.
They would tie a rope around the priests ankle to pull him out if God killed him because of a mistake, I thought that harsh, until the Lord loved me enough to show me something.
The lord reminded me of the Tabernacle in the wilderness, and how I was taught that from the birds-eye view, it was laid out like a cross, He told me to put a body on the cross and see where their head falls. Well, their head would be in the Holy Of Holy's area.
Then the Lord told me that the OT picture of the severity of discipline of the Priests was a picture of how we need to "cast down" anything that would exalt itself against God, in our "mind of Christ".(2Cor.10:5)
