| It IS all About YOU and ME |
|
| |
I've heard the people say now for several years, that it's not all about YOU; it's about Jesus Christ. And I have pondered the saying.
It always made me feel unimportant, unwanted, unloved, like an afterthought or an unwanted piece of garbage to be tossed aside. How about you?
So, over the years since this saying started spreading around, I have concluded that it IS all about ME and YOU and everyone else as well.
Paul said so. Notice that he said it was of FIRST importance, that Christ died for US. That sounds like it's certainly about you and me.
I'm glad that Jesus thought about US, and died on the cross for us. He didn't die for himself, but for you and me. It seems to me then that the cross was certainly all about you and me. If not, then Christ died in vain.
15:3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, |

| Could be... How about God AND us. Us worshiping him and him loving us. |

|
| Amen Grant. Always thought that myself. That's what makes Christ's sacrifice deeply personal. |

Grant, We put the armor on as a family just about every morning. And I only recently considered verse 18 which tells me I'm putting the armor on for YOU! Ephesians 6:18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,

The Word became flesh and we became His body...the arm can't say to the leg "I don't need you"...the Head and the body working in unison...the earth growns for man to take his rightful place.
Great post Grant! |

| This is a very confirming message to me, as the Lord said this very thing to me just 2 days ago. I realized that He was dealing with false humility within me, because I too, had taken what I'd been offered without question, believing in error, the same as you mentioned above. Jesus said, if there were no value in you, the cross wouldn't have been necessary. It Truly was an act of Love, to reconcile mankind through the work of the cross, that God so Loves, and desires communal Living within. It was NOT a begrudging act that Jesus came to die for these vessels that God created, and "might" have use for, if they'll beat themselves into submission by continual declaration of "I'm not worthy, I'm not deserving, and I'm sorry Lord I know it's not about me". Thank You Father for deliverance unto Truth...powerful! Thanks for posting such a perfectly timed message of Truth from Him :) |
