I am a sinner saved by grace - Praise the Lord

"Many of you are probably at the point were you are ready to turn and read something else,"

I think many people have the wrong mentality regarding sin.  Nothing more frustrating than trying to live a sinless life.  Only one was able to do that and isn't He wonderful!?  What a joy to read about the Savior's walk and how He interacted with willful people.  When the Apostle says, "Stop sinning!" 1 Corinthians 15:34  I think he means stop sinning on purpose.  Willful sinning as the Apostle said, keeps one from proclaiming the risen Christ effectively.  The Apostle Paul said, "namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation."  2 Corinthians 5:19
Because I love the book of Job I'm going to use it as an example.  Job's 3 friends made an appointment to go comfort him and instead spent 10 or so chapters telling Job what a sinner he was!   The devils ruthless attack on Job did not end when he ruined Job's health.  The devil's ruthless attack on Job ended with every vile accusation from his three friends ended and seemingly articulate reasoned rebuke from the stranger.  I don't want to be one of Jobs 3 friends in my relationship with God's children.  He loves them and accepts them just as they are, how can I do any less?

I
am a sinner save by GRACE

AMAZING GRACE
Amazing grace! how sweet the sound—
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind but now I see.

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!

The Lord has promised good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures.

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.

Spiritually speaking I'm as Hick as a Hick could be.  This is an important verse, and if we could adopt the Apostle Paul's attitude we could reach a whole lot more Hicks with the grace of God.

1:15 This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Yes a sinner, saved by grace, but you are now the righteousness of God in Christ, Jesus has given you his new born again nature, the sin nature has been destroyed, you are no longer in sin, but transformed, translated, transmuted, into a different being, a heavenly being living in an earthen body.  How do we fathom this.

The mystery revealed in the word;
2 Corinthians 5:21
For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [ endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].  We have been born again, we are no longer, sinners saved by grace we have received his life, we were in the past sinners saved by grace.   Would you still say today that you are a baby, no that is how we entered into this earth, but we are no longer babes, we are adults, we are the righteousness of God in Christ,
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any new creature is in Christ, the old things be passed [old things have passed]. Lo! all things be made new,
2 Corinthians 5:16-18 (in Context) 2 Corinthians 5 When we start to operate out of this new nature, we see that; to walk as Jesus walked is like breathing, every day will be a day filled with miracles sign and wonders of souls coming into the Kingdom of the nine gifts of the spirit flowing,
  1. 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 12:8 For to one is given by the (1)Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the(2) word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 12:9 To another (3)faith by the same Spirit; to another(4) the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 12:10 To another (5)the working of miracles; to another (6)prophecy; to another (7)discerning of spirits; to another(8) [divers] kinds of tongues; to another (9)the interpretation of tongues: 12:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

    of the nine fruit of the spirit flowing.
    5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is (1)love, (2)joy, (3)peace, (4)longsuffering, (5)gentleness,(6) goodness, (7)faith, 5:23(8) Meekness, (9)temperance: against such there is no law. 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

    Wow.   In so doing we fulfill the great commission that the Lord gave to us of ,Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel.  Said a Hick to a Hick!  Amen!
    Grace and Peace.
