| Nobody ever did nothin for a Hick, but a Hick himself! |
|
| |
The other day I viewed a movie called “All the kings men” the quote above is from that move. As I was thinking of what it was saying I began to ponder the truth it held and how I could benefit all of us from using it. What I have found was that “we who are Saved “ are just sinners saved by grace”! Now all of us are sinners, weather you admit it or not, but it is a great thing if you can say “I have been forwarded the blessings of salvation, and am “now a sinner saved by grace”!
It is my belief that if we would just dive into the reality of it, we can surly do the world a great deal of good.
Many of you are probably at the point were you are ready to turn and read something else , and the reason for that is “That you don’t want to face the truth of who you really are”, and although you had to admit to God that you were a Sinner your still fearful of telling others that that’s what you are.
I sometime wonder why People who say they are saved become struck with this fear of “NOBODY NEEDS TO KNOW I am a sinner” (saved by grace of course) But if you and I would let go that fear , and realize that we are “Hicks” or Sinners saved by grace! We could go out and do something for another Hick!
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God in his mercy knew that the only person who could Save a sinful people was his son the Lord Jesus, And Jesus Christ came to this sin sick world to die and shed his blood on the cross for you and I, than after accomplishing his task he left those he saved , to tell the others about what he did and can do for them. But the truth is he left Hicks to do it! “SINNERS SAVED BY GRACE” Are you a Hick? Go share with another Hick! 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

"Many of you are probably at the point were you are ready to turn and read something else,"
I think many people have the wrong mentality regarding sin. Nothing more frustrating than trying to live a sinless life. Only one was able to do that and isn't He wonderful!? What a joy to read about the Savior's walk and how He interacted with willful people. When the Apostle says, "Stop sinning!" 1 Corinthians 15:34 I think he means stop sinning on purpose. Willful sinning as the Apostle said, keeps one from proclaiming the risen Christ effectively. The Apostle Paul said, "namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation." 2 Corinthians 5:19 Because I love the book of Job I'm going to use it as an example. Job's 3 friends made an appointment to go comfort him and instead spent 10 or so chapters telling Job what a sinner he was! The devils ruthless attack on Job did not end when he ruined Job's health. The devil's ruthless attack on Job ended with every vile accusation from his three friends ended and seemingly articulate reasoned rebuke from the stranger. I don't want to be one of Jobs 3 friends in my relationship with God's children. He loves them and accepts them just as they are, how can I do any less? |

I am a sinner save by GRACE
AMAZING GRACE Amazing grace! how sweet the sound— That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost but now am found, Was blind but now I see. ‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed! The Lord has promised good to me, His word my hope secures; He will my shield and portion be As long as life endures. Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come; ‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home. When we’ve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise Than when we’d first begun.

I sin, and I'm saved by grace. Thanks be to God! |

Spiritually speaking I'm as Hick as a Hick could be. This is an important verse, and if we could adopt the Apostle Paul's attitude we could reach a whole lot more Hicks with the grace of God. 1:15 This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

| Great Word brother. Keep up the great work. |

Yes a sinner, saved by grace, but you are now the righteousness of God in Christ, Jesus has given you his new born again nature, the sin nature has been destroyed, you are no longer in sin, but transformed, translated, transmuted, into a different being, a heavenly being living in an earthen body. How do we fathom this.
The mystery revealed in the word; 2 Corinthians 5:21 For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [ endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness]. We have been born again, we are no longer, sinners saved by grace we have received his life, we were in the past sinners saved by grace. Would you still say today that you are a baby, no that is how we entered into this earth, but we are no longer babes, we are adults, we are the righteousness of God in Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any new creature is in Christ, the old things be passed [old things have passed]. Lo! all things be made new,
