Puppy Power!!!  Praying for your baby Ma Lady!

Thanks, I really appreciate the prayers.  I just got back from the vets and she's going to have to stay at least 1 more night because her heart had several more episodes of racing so they now have her on a beta blocker.  She was happy to see me but I had to work to get her to eat 10 Chee-tos (her absolute favorite food in the world.. and yes, the vet knew and approved).   But I am seeing some improvements.  Yesterday she was so jaundiced that her normally ice blue eyes actually appeared green; they are almost full blue again today.

I will find out more tomorrow and now I have to go find some way to distract myself from worrying all night...

"If he cares about those little birds, I know God has to love puppy dogs."

Does anyone really doubt this? Good grief, of course God cares for puppies! And especially yours Maureen, I sooooo hope your doggie pulls through a-ok. I can totally understand the bond you share w/your "child". I cried like a baby when my first Schaefer was put down....understand your anxiety. Will add a prayer for her. God bless!

Thanks everyone so much for the encouragement and prayers.  It is appreciated more than you know.  I spent an hour today with her at the Emergency Vet's office.  I'm still waiting for the doctor to call me back with results but it looks like her kidneys are starting to function again and she showed some enery.. got some licks and even a few tail wags today.  The plan tomorrow is to probably do an ultra sound to see if we can spot a cause of all this.  Right now the symptoms are all that are being treated.

Anyway, thanks again for all the prayers.  I will keep updating here.  If anyone needs a good distraction for a couple of hours I do recommend the Prince Caspian movie.. it was quite entertaining even though it didn't really follow the book.

Misty continues to improve... getting her to eat is the main challenge but she's always been finicky on that.  Today she got the last of my scrambled eggs on her dog food and seemed to like that.  Last night it was spaghettios.  At this point its a matter of feeding her a little bit of whatever I happen to eat.
