Hi everybody, Hope you are doing well today! Normally my blogs are some sort of encouragement or Biblical teachings. However, today I want to depart from the normal routine and just take time to say thanks! Thanks to the Lord for all the wonderful blessing He sends my way. It is easy to get discouraged with the life that we are in, but if we would really pause for just a moment or two we just might realize that our life is not all that bad. Today, the sky is blue and filled with warm sunshine. There is a gentle breeze and it is may 70 degrees just gorgeous. Today had the privilegde of getting up early on a Saturday morning my only day off as I don't consider a Sunday a day off for sure. Going to the church for a work day. I dreaded it all week and was actually kind of negative about it, but once I got there it was kind of fun and it was good fellowship. The weather was perfect and we did some yard work and washed the bus. Today, I will be going to watch my son play little league baseball. It will be a great day for baseball! The kids are doing well as we approach the end of the season I can see so much improvement in them. My daughter will leave the game early and go to a meeting where she will learn about her invitation to Europe to sing with a state chorous. That is so exciting, I got to go to Europe as a teenager and I am so happy she will have a similar opportunity to see that there is life outside of lower Alabama. After the game and the meeting we will be going down to the beach. I moved down here about 5 years ago so that I could be closer to the beach and today will be one of those days, I will able to enjoy the benefits of living down here.
I am thankful for my family. As I came home from the work day everyone was happy to see me and came to welcome me home. My dog about wagged his tail off and greeted me with kisses. My children greeted me with good morning hugs and my wife gave me a wonderful smile and kiss. I wonder if she would care if she knew the dog was there first? I love my family and work very hard for them. Sometimes, I feel like I don't do enough or give them enough of time and money, but I know that they love me and I know they know I love them. What a blessing!
I am thankful for my church family. They are so sweet and loving. I came to that church with no pretense or ulteria motive but God has just opened up their hearts to receive me not just as a friend, but as a man of God. It is wonderful to invest into people who actually love the Lord and want to grow in Him.
Well, I have to run off to the game, but just wanted to say thank you, too to all of MYCHURCH friends. Y'all have been a great source of encouragement to me. I feel like I have so much to give and you let me give what the Lord has taught me. I hope that I have been a blessing to you as much as y'all have blessed me. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!
Your Friend, Todd |
