| The military and TV |

| I found myself thinking about an impression I had this week. I found myself surprised at a couple of gems about the military on TV. I watched two shows that made me proud of television, and it;s portrayal of the military. One will probably surprise you, the other probably not. I found myself again impressed at the way NCIS portrays our servicemen. They seem to really understand that they are more than a "TV" show. They hold the men and women they portray with honor and dignity. They do their job, but there is always a heart for the service people involved. Recently one of their episodes took place at Walter Reed. It almost hurt to watch when I know that my son was there, and I wasn't. He was home last weekend, I cannot tell you what joy that brings to my heart. The second show may surprise you, unless you were a frequent watcher, The A Team. For all their silliness, they always were there for their buddies. Not bad for a show with guns going off everywhere, but no one ever getting hurt...hehe..... |
