| Ladies' Retreat or Daisy Daisy Give Me your Answer Do |

We had 8 ladies at the retreat, and it was a great day! The weather was perfect, and so we sat outside for most of the study time. We were studying the book of Philippians. One of the themes that emerged from our discussion was the idea that we need to be in tandem with God. When Jetty said that, I kept picturing a bicycle built for two. The problem with that is that I have a hard time viewing God in other than human terms, and in human terms I picture me on the front of the bike pedaling like crazy while the person behind me is coasting along. And then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I like to pedal. And I know why: Sure, it's hard work to do the pedaling. Yeah yeah they have pedals back there, too, but we all know the front pedaling is the hardest. But the person who has to pedal gets to steer. Now carry this over to my relationship with God, and guess what? He wants to steer, and I have to learn to let him.
