My mind runs a hundred miles an hour and is always trying to understand everything.
As I grew up, I was often mislabeled as disrespectful or a smart aleck because of it - and I sometimes still am.
I didn't see the correlation when I was younger but now I understand that many of my teachers found me frustrating because most people value control over truth and hate change. In other words, anywhere we are trying to maintain control, we tend to resist questioning or reassesment of what we are doing.
As I think about how damaging this really is, I'm sobered.
This is exactly why most businesses fail.
It's one reason people get trapped in false religion and never find truth.
It's the cause of many hurt's I've had.
In what ways can we guard against this natural tendency?
In a time when Oprah is telling the entire world the Jesus isn't the only way to God, can we afford to not ask questions?
Are we prepared to debunk universalism? Do we know how what we believe fits into history?
Lord, help us learn that it's okay to ask the hard questions and to really consider the answers.
Lord, help us to allow, and even invite others to ask them too, and help us never answer with a canned response.
PS: Do my questions bother you? Let me know what you're thinking guys. |

Ah! You are analytical! Me too! We always have lots of questions & opinions! LOL! I often find that my opinion doesn't always matter to everyone else and can be annoying. It hurts my feelings that they don't get me sometimes, but oh well! What can I say. I hope it is not a root of control in me! LOL! Wonka! What if?? heehee! On another note, this is fitting to waht Apostle has been teaching on. He taught on stewardship yesterday. The kingdom of God is advancing & God desires to have us steward it. We need to be good stewards with our attitudes, finances, and such...remembering everything is the Lords. Your questions don't bother me. :) |

| Hard questions should be welcomed, and if we embrace them the results could be that we are anchored even more in our beliefs. Keep asking because if you find the truth it will set you free. Wow! |

Hard Questions are good and many times we really don't have all of the answeres and should not allow ourself to get discouraged because we can't figure it all out. There will always be varyian oppenions based on ones level of maturity and truth. All are important and possibly relavent. So one must know in whom he believes Christ the solid rock and it will always keep us on track as we seek out how to break into the future, discovierng how Jesus can be released into it all.
Love you Jer Apostle Leon: |

| Thanks for the comments; it's good to know that out of 79 reads 3 people are not afraid of hard questions.
Barv-> I know what you mean about not being understood, but I it's not my opinion so often as my constant questioning in search or my opinion that seems to bother people. I'm always gathering information and some people really don't like that.
Anthony-> Thanks for the encouragement, I will continue to question!
Apostle Leon -> Thanks for commenting! I agree, Jesus is the key and maturity is a monstrous factor to be considered - which is why I've always sought wisdom from people like you. ;) Not having all the answers is not what bothers me so much as people who discourage looking for them.
Thanks guys!

Sorry I been out of the loop! You know what big Sis will say, just pay attention to what you learned on Sesame Street and know it's truth, "Asking questions is a good way to find out things you want to know!" Stick with what we learned when we were smallest in our memory, and that is most often truth. The rest of the adults just didn't get the memo.....

This reader (#125) isn't afraid of your questions! Ask away! But, the question in return for the asker (and all askers).... Will you accept the answer(s), whatever they may be, or will you continue asking until you get answers that fit with your biased point of view? (We're all biased in some way, so that isn't an accusation by any means, bro!!)
BTW, I don't pretend to have the answers, I too like to ask questions. Plus it's fun to answer questions with more questions! lol |
