| Rescue The Perishing Care For the Dying |
|
| |
3:16 Hereby know we love, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 3:17 But whoso hath the world's goods, and beholdeth his brother in need, and shutteth up his compassion from him, how doth the love of God abide in him? The global epidemic of AIDS can no longer be ignored. If you think that it is a disease for the Homosexual or the immoral you are sadly decieved. AIDS is destroying literally thousands and thousands of people each year. Yet there is not a cure for AIDS.
People that think that AIDS is their punishment for their immoral behavior are without compassion. What about the children? The children are affected by the sins of their fathers and mothers. Jesus loves the little children and He said if you accept one of these you accept Me.
Though we may not have the cure of AIDS, we do have a cure for the disease called sin. Jesus Christ has the power to save. The gospel has the power to change not only lives but entire cultures as well. Pray ye therefore the LORD of the Harvest to send forth laborers into His harvest field. How will they hear without a preacher? How will they hear unless they are sent?
Aren't you moved? How can we just sit by and watch? We are the body and the hands of feet of Jesus on earth. Let us not grow weary in well doing. Let us rescue the perishing and care for the dying Jesus is mericiful and Jesus will save!

| Please keep reminding the saints that AIDS is real. We live in such a corrupt world. People are so accustomed to sickness and disease that they are numb to the terminally ill. Sadly, AIDS is one disease that is killing more and more, simply because people ignore the risks. I will pray for harvestworkers, for mercy, and compassion for those who are afflicted with this horrible disease. |

| It sure is true that people ignore the needs of others, but there are some out there who make a difference in this world. |

Megan I give a big Amen to that one. And we thank God for all the difference makers! No act of compassion and kindness goes unnoticed by the Lord.
Revstarr: My new friend, I stand with you in prayer and in deed! Jesus said, In the last days the love of many will grow cold.
Steve: That is why I admire the Salvation Army! It is all about showing the love of God backed by the Word of God. Then we see the power of God! |

| Joey, Mother Teresa is an incredible example of someone who would not just stand there and let things happen. A true example of the love of Christ! |
