IT'S NOT OVER YET...From Good to Great...the story continues.
The day is hot. The air is dry. Your mouth is parched. Your lips are cracked and bleeding. Your face is sunburned. As you find yourself lying in the middle of nowhere. You started this journey from good to Great with magnificent expectations, but you were not expecting to be where you were now. How does one who was praising God for thier deliverence out of the bondage of slavery to sin and on thier way to the GREAT promise land find themselves in the desert wilderness of sin? Through doubt and unbelief...by listening to themselves...and not God. Yes, when one chooses to trust in his or her own logic, they begin to doubt the word of God as truth and eventually they will find themselves in a dry and weary land...on the road towards death. Doubt is sin. Sin leads to death.
So now it is a new day and the sun is rising. You have only two options...choosing life or choosing death. The easiest road may not be the best road, for it is easier to give up than to continue to fight. It is easier to continue doubting God and living in sin rather than to walk in faith. But suddenly, you feel an urge within your spirit...a resistance to death. A desire for water. You automatically begin to repent from your doubt (change your heart) and cry out for God to help. You have wandered far on your own and now need God to have His way. So you lift yourself up off of the ground, stretch out your arms and with a cry that comes from all that you have left, you call out to God and you believe that He can do anything.
All of a sudden, you hear a dripping sound and you run towards it. You find a stream of water coming out of a rock and you begin to drink. As you drink, you find yourself renewed, refreshed, and reminded of God's promises to those that belief upon Him. You look around and you can now see that there is a road not too far away. It is the way of eternal life, the road from good to Great. As you start running towards right path, praises of thanksgiving unto God flows out from your mouth. For God had made a way in the wilderness....a river in the desert.
Good afternoon everyone. Today I want to praise God for reviving me through the times where I doubted Him and found myself wandering in the desert of sin. I want to praise God for making rivers of water to flow out of those dry places in our lives. Rivers of living water that is the word of God. For the word of God is life for all and has been tested, tried, and found true. This is the praise that flows from my lips as I run the race...as I continue to fight the fight. This is what God wanted me to share with you today...as He reminds each and everyone of us...that IT'S NOT OVER YET ! ! !
BE ENCOURAGED Revelation 22 1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. 6And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. 7Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
BE EDIFIED Romans 8: 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.
BE EQUIPPED Psalm 63:1 [ A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah. ] O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Have a GREAT day in the Lord!.
