| Thumb War Raging |
|
| |
6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].
DING! One, two, three, four....I declare a thumb war! Sound silly does it? I just got the coolest picture in my mind. Two huge thumbs going at it. Which one will win...the long, slender one, or the short fat one? Oh...pinned..One...Two...no...she got loose.....
Get to the point already. Alright..I came across this verse a couple of weeks ago. I started just meditating on it. I thought that I "got" it. Do you know what I mean? Well....I think that I really just "got" it.
I am being attacked hard right now. I am blaming everyone who steps in my path. My heart has grown hard towards people who are close to me. Why? I am blaming them. The verse above says that we wrestle not against flesh...doesn't that mean eachother? but against principalities, powers, and rulers of the darkness...that is the devil...Right?
So we are allowing him (the devil) to use us to turn against eachother. Hmmm....I am seeing some of these people differently now. If you keep reading...the Word says so we must take up the whole Armor of God, that we might be able to withstand in the evil day!
I've read this before, but not like this.
So if Christ has been seated at the Right Hand of the Father...HIGH above principalities, powers, and rulers of the darkness, and I am in Christ, therefore seated also at the Right Hand of the Father, then satan truely is under my feet.
We as a church body and individual believers need to be able to discern the difference between a spiritual struggle and a social, personal, or political issue. Otherwise we will lose our focus! We will take that detour and wrestle with humans instead of prayerfully warring against the invisible works of hell behind the scenes.
All spiritual warfare waged today is victorious only on the basis of appropriating the provision of the Cross and Christ's Blood. It was shed so we could be VICTORIOUS! Jehova Nissi....
So even though some of these attacks are coming from the flesh, they are from the enemy! We are letting him use us. We are being his servants. Hmmm....I apologize if I am not making much sense. I just wish that I could express in words what I am getting, but it is hard to!
Look at this verse and just meditate on it. There is a freedom here. Bless you all...lovin on you! |

Pointing at: All spiritual warfare waged today is victorious only on the basis of appropriating the provision of the Cross and Christ's Blood. Amen! "Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:56 |

One of the greatest freedoms we have as believers is forgiveness -- and in Deut. it says if you catch a thief, he has to pay 7 fold --- pay up satan -- pay it back to SugarB. All of it --- In Jesus' Name Restore her relationships and her vision that God placed in her. Her life is a gift -- SugarBee - you are a gift! Muaaah! |

Mrs W your image actually came from: http://education.ucdavis.edu/NEW/STC/lesson/socstud/railroad/images/thumb.jpg It's original dimensions as stored at that address were: 412 pixels in the X (wide) and 543 pixels in the Y direction (high). Divide those dimensions each by 3 and you would get 137 X 181. I have scaled the image in the "insert" graphic (the small green tree icon) information box to insert the thumb at a smaller size. Here is what it looks like with those dimensions: <---------- it was probably scaled by the place you found it at!
Sorry, I could not resist answering your why question..... {grin} |

Thanks for clearing that up--- :P but I don't have a clue to what you wrote -- as far as I know you could be making the whole thing up and I wouldn't know the difference -- I am telling you - I am not overstating when I use the word "inept" I will have to have my son give the interpretation :)
I guess the good thing was - SugarBee - "saw" a big thumb -- heeeheee |

Mrs. W - Yep that is it! LOL! Bless you both! |

How did you know you were going to preach to me today? I should have read this last night or been listening in when you were getting this from God. Of course, I think He was speaking to me, too. I just didn't listen in the middle of the night. I have to admit, I heard, I didn't listen. Hope I'm making sense. Thank you!
Thumb War is a family favorite. Pretty funny! |
