How many times in my life have I looked at the bad times I may be experiencing and said, ‘why me’. To many to count I am positive of that. I have come to see though all those times I felt the sting of hardship instead of asking why I was being plagued I should have been embracing said hardship. Not an easy thing to do I know, it is so unnatural for us to embrace pain; we want no part of that. Maybe if we view our rougher times as instructive and accept them humbly it would take some of the sting out of them. I am sure like me when I first thought of this you are know shaking your head, saying what is this guy on. Be patient J . ‘I went astray’ David said, ‘but now I keep Your word’. Peter would agree ‘Affliction leads us not to live for ourselves but for the will of God’. Do the hardships we face have to be an obstacle to our relationship with God? With a lot of prayer and patience I don’t think so I believe they can be a spiritual tool used to bring us closer to God, it just takes some practice. Like me you may say I am not strong enough, that is just a lie planted by Satan himself, because God’s strength shines brightest through human weakness.
