Thank you Dr. T

And please be praying for our Jesus Fest June 14 2008. We need all the support we can get, spiritual, financial...everything.  We are coming up against great opposition. Just pray for our success in this soul winning venture. Love Ya Laurie Anne

Blessing and peace, Dr. Woods. I agree, prayer changes things. Let us pray for forgiveness and confess our sins toward one another.
Amen.

To pray is the link to God, but how many of us really believe in the power of prayer. During each of our lives we had run accross that pivitol time that we did not believe in prayer. We blamed God for things and perils that we did not agree with. I know I did many times. Many times I didnt believe and times now I believe that prayer wont bring me through. However God can do all things but fail! We must have a stronghold to the word. Life grows us up but prayer makes us mature. We ought to stick to the word in trouble times and know God is there in our midst of perils.

Amen, we have to press foward and pray through all obsticles, continue to pray I just recently lost my mother on the 5th of this month and it took a while before I could say anything to the Lord, in my heart I was saying I still love you, and I will still serve you but I could not open up my mouth and say anything to him. It wasnt until the funeral when we was having a home going service when I was able to open up my mouth and say no matter what God I will still serve you, I still say yes. And today I still say yes.

May I add this. Most people see prayer as a instant solution to a on going problem. All things will be in God's time. Thanks for posting !

You are so right, prayer has much power.

In james 5:15 reads And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.

And if  he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Prayer and fasting bringeth much to those that love the Lord and serve Him.

O God, early in the morning I cry to you.
Help me to pray
And to concentrate my thoughts on you:
I cannot do this alone.
In me there is darkness,
But with you there is light;
I am lonely, but you do not leave me;
I am feeble in heart, but with you there is help;
I am restless, but with you there is peace.
In me there is bitterness, but with you there is patience;
I do not understand your ways,
But you know the way for me…
Restore me to liberty,
And enable me to live now
That I may answer before you and before me.
Lord, whatever this day may bring,
Your name be praised.

SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father’s throne
Make all my wants and wishes known;
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief,
And oft escaped the tempter’s snare,
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!

The joys I feel, the bliss I share
Of those whose anxious spirits burn
With strong desires for thy return!
With such I hasten to the place
Where God my Savior shows His face,
And gladly take my station there,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
Thy wings shall my petition bear
To Him whose truth and faithfulness
Engage the waiting soul to bless;
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His Word and trust His grace,
I’ll cast on Him my every care,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

AMEN!!
