| Just Say Hi |

A few days ago I wrote a blog about how much the enemy is trying to use my current state of solitude to convince me that I am lonely. He's such a punk!
That's not exactly what I want to blog about here tonight, but before I get to the topic that I really want to talk about let me share something with you.
Sunday, when I was in prayer over what happened Saturday night, asking the Lord about finding a wife, He spoke to me the way He usually does,He pointed me to His Word. He led me straight back to the Garden and told me to meditate on the following passage. So I typed up the passage and printed it on a pocket-sized piece of paper and have read it, and spoke it, like a hundred times this week. It's a very familiar passage. Here it is:
The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it. But the L ord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden—except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.” Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one. He gave names to all the livestock, all the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals. But still there was no helper just right for him. So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man’s ribs and closed up the opening. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man.
“At last!” the man exclaimed. “This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man.’” This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one. Now the man and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame. There is so very much contained in these verses. There are several things I could talk about that God has been speaking to me, but in context with my loneliness, this is what God said to me:
See, I have been in Atlanta for over two years now. I have been alone this entire time. And, as some of you know, I am currently not attending church, for various reasons, but that's another blog. In fact, I am really not serving the Lord with the exception of trying to encourage people when the opportunity presents itself. Well, this week God said, "I have placed you in the Garden, but you have yet to tend and watch over it" Ouch!
To some that may not sound like a great revelation, but it is what God clearly spoke to me about why He has not introduced me to my wife yet. He says I need to get involved and begin to tell people about how he delivered me from a rotten life that resulted in becoming a homeless, helpless, and hopeless drug addict. Ouch again! It's time to get busy.
So what I also get from this is that I have been in a deep sleep. Not only a deep sleep, but I am also missing a rib and that piece of my flesh is currently wide open! So he said:
But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”
Wow. The divine alarm clock has been ringing and I pushed snooze-control one too many times already!
I am wide awake now! Things are about to change! Praise God! His Word will not return void!
And now here's what I really wanted to talk to you about. It's about the lost and revealing the truth to those that are in complete darkness.
In my lonely state last week, I stumbled upon a free site called JustSayHi. This site is like a free dating site, but it's not all about dating. There are several discussion forums and one of them happens to be Religion. Wow. What I discovered is that there are some very seriously lost and confused people out there. Of course this really wasn't news, but after spending so much time here on MyChurch and the believers, I had forgotten just how much darkness was lurking on the rest of the Internet.
I have added comments to a few of the conversations, but alone I do not stand a chance. If you are serious about reaching the lost, and being the salt of this earth, and reaching out to a group of people who need to hear the truth about God, I encourage you to spend a little bit of time trying to reach some of these people. MyChurch is great, don't get me wrong. I am not suggesting this other site as a replacement. There is a plethora of wisdom and Godly knowledge here on MyChurch, and I am asking that you share a little bit of that love and truth on this other site once in a while. I have included a link below for those of you willing to help counter some of the extreme unbelief that is lurking on this one forum alone.
Here's the link: Just Say Hi Religion Chat
Thanks family! I love you dearly! Michael |

Being single and alone is very hard. To say that the Lord is your companion does not always cut it does it? My advice to you if I am allowed to give it, is to not worry about it. Keep doing what you are doing pressing in and love the LORD. The other thing I would suggest is to get out more and get busy, get involved in things, clubs, civic groups, yes even church and you'll make a lot of new friends and those friends have friends, and before you know it you;'ll be wishing you were single again! As for witnessing, I know you can handle it..just get outside the house and be yourself, God will bring people accross your path seeking Him. You'll be amazed! |

| It sounds like the Lord is getting through to you with all that you have been experiencing lately. He has probably been knocking at the door, but you haven't answered...but now, you finally hear Him and are opening the door. |

| God will supply all your needs... He promised... He will equip you for the task He has planned for you... He pormised... My prayers will continue. |

I don't fare well in these chats, I've found. lol I get easily hurt sometimes. I would have to get some hardcore prayer in first. It does take a person very much strong in the Lord. Jesus never got offended and we aren't suppose to either, but I haven't got there yet in my walk. I still want to encourage you to get Christian fellowship outside the internet. There are always more intimate mid-week groups through churches as well as house churches. You need real strong Christian friends; solid ones! Love you! |

| This rocks and she is out there and the timing will be perfect for God is getting her heart ready also...you will complement each other's ministry. God has recently brought someone into my life also and our testimonies somewhat match...we have been ministering to the same group of people for 6 years or more...he has been for almost 10 years....God is good and His timing is perfect...no matter how long, He knows when it will be the best for you both! Proud of ya brother! Get to preaching it!!!!! |

Just do what God has you to do for Him.......pray for that special person He has for you....and quit looking, LOL......He'll bring her to you. I know that sounds so churchy....but guess what? I told my sons that....they felt they had to have someone....when they backed off, God did it! And the oldest son met his wife through what he was doing for the Lord........God led him to be the Worship Leader at the BSU at his college.....he dove fully into it, committing himself to God and leading the worship of God......and that's when she showed up! Sometimes we look sooooooo hard, we can't see what He's put before us, too! |
