No, sadly, the sleeping bag is not very purple. So, my purple pillows do not match. |

| Side bar question...you are going to Mississippi on a missions trip, right? Where does one sleep in Mississippi when on a missions trip? I know you will sleep in the sleeping bag, but inside of what type of shelter does one use such a sleeping bag? |

BRILLIANT Cathy!!! I just happen to be wearing a red sweater!!! I'll pop them together in the wash tonight. DC, we'll be sleeping at the Gulport Armory (it's their Disaster Rebuild Operations Center). |

| Cathy, If I remember right, you can tie bunches of it together with plastic bags and you get a nice tie-dye effect...now, wouldn't MAry Ann look great in a purple tie-dye sleeping bag?!?! |

| You guys think it will be okay to put it in the wash? It's name brand is Columbia, it was manuafactured by Northpole Ltd and made in China. I'm concerned. |

Mary Ann, I have some camping gear, Coleman sleeping bag included, that is brand new (out of box) that I will never get to use since I got sick right after getting it. I've got a lantern, heater and some other stuff. I know that my wife has promised the $220 Eureka tent to a local Christian Boy Scout troop (sorry). But for the rest of the stuff, I would like to donate it to C3 if you all could use it. It is not good to me anymore and I need to get the basement cleaned out. My wife said let it all go minus the tent. If you, Pastor Dan, Cathy D or whoever needs some of this, let me know. Dave P.S. I also have a nice 2004 Jeep Rubicon (lifted on 31s with extra underbody armor) if anybody is looking for a 2 door soft-top TJ style. Sorry, I can't donate that though. I need $$$s for a wheelchair van. LOL |

Rita, you don't like purple? DANG!!! Actually, that's cool. More purple for me :-) What about chocalate? Jan, oohhh, great idea. A purple tent!!! We're sleeping indoors though... still, a PURPLE tent would be awesome!!! Dave, thank you for the VERY generous offer brother... I've asked Pastor Dan to jump in here and respond. Your sleeping bag wouldn't happen to be purple, would it? :-) |

MaryAnn....Girlfriend you are the only person on MyChurch who could write a blog about a sleeping bag and get loads of stars and comments! If any of us did this, forget it! Anyway, more importantly then the sleeping bag itself, but where it is going. Lord, Please bless the trip to Mississippi. Please anoint your servants to do your will. May they accomplish far more than they even set out to do, by your mighty power and strength. I pray that you would use this team to bring salvation to the lost, homes for the homeless, and healing for the broken-hearted. May they do all of this in Jesus Name to the Glory of God. |

| Mary Ann I love purple too but blue is my favorite. purple and blue goes good with red hair and hey that's what matters that we look good while we do what we do right. I'd like to have some purple and some blue leather for riding my bike. They'd see me coming for sure. |

| Using Keith's idea above, I tried to spray paint Mary Ann's sleeping bag. It came out quite nice actually, but I can't seem to paste it here, so, Mary Ann, you will just have to imagine it a very nice shade of purple... |

OK folks, let's do this the easy way.... Can somebody PLEASE just give Mary Ann some red colored sunglasses? Then her sleeping bag will look purple. LOL
For the rest of you reading this blog, I want you to start asking Mary Ann questions about purple. Everything you ever wanted to know can be found at the following link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple LOL < wink > LOL Dave |

Ok, here is a "roughing it" story...my wife and I were doing some mission work in southern Mexico just on the Guatamala border. We were with a team that was working the mountain villages. The area is jungle in the valleys, but arid at the top of the mountains. We stayed above the jungle line. Most nights we slept outside. You would zip your sleeping bag all the way shut and wrap it around your head. There were a lot of insects, animals, and sometimes rain, so you always made sure you were well covered. At one location where we stopped, there was an old, decrepid, run down shed. A couple of guys were tired of sleeping out "in the elements" and decided it was time to sleep in the shed. Did I forget to mention that scorpions were pretty common, too? Well, in the wee hours of the night, my wife and I, sleeping peacefully under the stars, hear one of the guys get up and walk out in the woods to do his personal business. He returns and slips into his sleeping bag. Within about 5 seconds we hear a piercing scream. Both guys are jumping and running and end up knocking the old shed over. We all ran over there to see what had happened. The one guy, upon returning to his sleeping bag, thought he felt a scorpion inside of it, got scared, ended up waking the other guy up who panicked, and both were yelling because the other one was yelling and they ended up crashing into the wall of the shed and knocking it over. There was no scorpion....and after all the noise, there were no animals within miles to bother us for the rest of the night. We all laughed about that night for a long time. Still makes me smile to think about it. |

I'm with Cathy on the slow room service, that's rough stuff! LOL Cute story DC, I would have been the screaming one (no actually I don't think I could have slept in an old shed - or outdoors, I guess I would have been hooped. lol. |

PatorDATM, those red sunglasses are the BOMB!!! What a simple solution!!! But, alas, the sleeping bag will still be more blue than purple once the glasses come off. David the Beloved, I'm doing my penance now dude :-) I'm suffering with my almost purple bag. aaallleen, no time now to pick up purple bag liners...great suggestion though. Rosie, you would look AWESOME in purple leather!!! Keith and Jan, I'll be with Mark Wigley...and he ALWAYS GITs R DONE for Jesus!!! Praise God... I'm just grateful to participate. :-) Thank you for the encouragement. Rita, you meanie :-) Hey, your daughter has great taste!!! Cathy, sistah, you can come over any time and lay hands on my sleeping bag. Wow, it's good it's bright color, could you imagine if it was camo, way too easy to lose in the woods. Then you have the problems with all those animals getting used to warm beds, and invading camping stores in search of their own sleeping bags, and well you know, camo is just way too complicated!!!!!! Dennis |

Mary Ann.. you know purple is my favorite color, but more importantly it's the color Royalties used over the centuries....I put a purple drape on my cross out in front of my house for Easter! I have to tell you when I see PURPLE I think of God!!!! Now, there are many things you can do to make that sleeping bag purple, but as someone already said, ti's where it's going that matters! Dear Heavenly Father we ask that you surround Mary Ann and those going with her to this area Your Perfect grace..Lord give them strength to do whatever is needed. Give them wisdom to share YOUR Word so that others may know YOU too!!! We thank you Lord and give you Praise for all that you continue to do in our lives. In Jesus' name we pray!!! God bless, Bevie |

Mary Ann, I didn't think about this until this morning. I hope you read your blog before you all head south. That way, you'll know just how much I love purple! LOL The Muscular Dystrophy Association is picking up today a wheelchair that I had borrowed about 18 months ago from their loan closet until I could get my very own chair in a color and style that was "more me." But just for you, for the past 18 months before getting my very own chair last December, I have been riding around in the following PURPLE CHARIOT!!! Up close view of the BRIGHT purple color:
Now you will be able to sleep peacefully in your new sleeping bag dreaming of my purple chariot! LOL Godspeed ahead on the trip and bring back PLENTY of pictures to be posted in your blog! Dave |

Carol hooked me up with a tip on flickr - where you can upload pictures to the internet. Thank you Carol!!! Can anyone find my sleeping bag?
This is where me and my sister crew members bunked at the Armory. Pretty tight... a window would have been nice. But, we had a blast!!! |
| April 24, 2007 |

| Jan, Thanks for the beautiful bouquet. The purple flowers are the best!!! Cathy, are you up for a road trip? We can take the Z… :-) |

I hope Mary Ann forgives me for accidentally letting that can of purple spray paint discharge on her when she entered the room and the lights went on. When Voice_in_DC told everyone to "yell" my hand tightened from the thrill and pushed the button on top of the spray paint can. Then the button got stuck in the down position. From there, well, lts history! Am I in trouble with you Mary Ann? Can we still be friends? Dave |
| April 25, 2007 |
| Are you kidding me Dave? I LOVE the new purple look!!! Thank you friend. Cathy knows :-) |
| April 25, 2007 |
| is the sleeping bag bottom bunk on left????????????? |
| April 25, 2007 |
| Nope, looks like though, don't it? :-) |
| April 25, 2007 |
| You got it Cathy!!! You just won a Mississippi refrigerator magnate, a Tennessee postcard postmarked in Mississippi and a Mississippi postcard postmarked in Alabama. CONGRATULATIONS!!! |
| April 25, 2007 |
LOL!!! You can't see panties Rita!!! You are so funny :-) I'll provide you with photographic evidence of the sleeping-bag's continued existence later tonight :-) Okay, gotta get back to work now. Lunch time is OVER ;-( |
| April 25, 2007 |
| Heeeheeeheee!!! Rita, you are correct!!! Woe, a window would have been nice. :-) ... However, the weather was great so it wasn't to stink'n steamy... |
| April 25, 2007 |
Okay Rita, I am happy to share this proof with you. Me and my sleeping bag are home:
| April 25, 2007 |
However, I am shocked and appalled by the wrinkles!!!
| April 25, 2007 |
| I MUST SAY THAT BAG DOES LOOK MORE BLUE THAN PURPLE NOW YOUR SHIRT LOOKS PURPLEISH I BET YOU COULD MAKE A FORTUNE OFF EBAY WITH THAT BAG SINCE IT'S SO POPULAR. JUST A THOUGHT. LOL |
| April 25, 2007 |
| And if you put your sleeping bag up for auction on eBay (great idea Rosie, huge funds for the Kingdom!), don't forget to direct everyone here to your blog on MyChurch and ask them to sign up while they are visiting. Being a member at MyChurch (or is it being a friend of Mary Ann's) that just might increase the value of what they are selling. :) Hmmmmm... LOL |
| April 25, 2007 |
I left myself wide open for wrinkle jabs :-) I thought Cathy Diemer would be the first to comment on that... she's picking her hubby up from the airport right now. We had Romans bible study together earlier this evening with Pastor Dan, TOMA... and some non-mychurch C3ers. Sell my sleeping bag? OH NO!!! I LOVE MY SLEEPING BAG!!! |
| April 25, 2007 |
Can I start th ebidding at $1.25? Isn't that always the low bid? Dennis |
| April 25, 2007 |
$2.50 |
| April 26, 2007 |
| $2.50 do i hear $3.00 how high can we go for the kingdom of God. (Mary Ann you'll make enough on this bag you can not only give greatly to the kingdom but you will have enough for another PURPLE sleeping bag just as purple as you'd like it to be) LOL |
| April 26, 2007 |
Just catching up on all the discussion on this thread...deep, thought-provoking, theological (you mentioned Bible study), life-changing discussion...where would my day be without it? You guys are too funny! Rosie, I bump your bid to $3.50. |
| April 26, 2007 |
| Dang guys!!! I paid $29.99 for that bag (not including tax). It's only 3 weeks old and barely used. |
| April 26, 2007 |
| Not with 5 bucks Rita. LOL!!! |
| April 26, 2007 |
| Oh Jan, thank you, $6 oughta do it... heeeheeeheee... |
| April 26, 2007 |
Hmmm? What, is that how much you have in your wallet Cathy? TOO FUNNY!!! :-) Whoops... gotta go. Aon is on their way. Be back around lunch time. Keep the bidding going. :-) |
| April 26, 2007 |
$12.01 this is a tactic used on E-bay to outbid the $12.00 bidder :) |
| April 26, 2007 |
| Oh Sue, you do e-bay? Cool!!! What have you sold there?Hey, how about I throw in the attractive and versatile net sleeping bag tote. I used it as a laundry bag in Mississippi. It is sparking clean and bounce fresh now… as is the sleeping bag. Will that up the bid? |
| April 26, 2007 |
WOW. I'll go $12.76 with the versctile net tote bag.......haha :) Sorry, I'm usually the one to mis-spell words, I had to take the laugh value on this one, Laugh value is worth a penny more!!!! Dennis |
| April 26, 2007 |
I really don't know what to say, everything from everybody has already been stated...so I just came on here to follow the crowd Okay, I'll have some input, maybe you should take a interest in the color blue, you know it really ain't all that bad...... |
| April 26, 2007 |
| With an autographed pic of Mary Ann standing next to the bag, I'll go $16. |
| April 26, 2007 |
| Y'all are neglecting this bag's value as an historic artifact. |
| April 26, 2007 |
Mary Ann, I think this might be an issue, referring to your and your bag as a "historic artifact" !!!!!!! I don't think I would have gone there myself............ |
| April 26, 2007 |
| I think the fact that it's used by Mary Ann AT the MS missions trip actually increases the value! Which makes me think sitting on it is the right strategy for investing here.. |
| April 26, 2007 |
Sitting on it? How will that increase it's value, doesn't wear and tear decrease the value? I'm getting so confused, historic artifacts, sitting on things, and it's not even PURPLE !!!!!! |
| April 26, 2007 |
20 stars, over 1500 reads, and still counting! This has got to be a MyChurch record for a blog! I would like to suggest that all of us pitch in a nice donation for the MS effort and give it to Mary Ann to be delivered to the MS relief efforts. In return, Mary Ann autographs the picture and the sleeping bag. Then, I would propose that those two items be submitted to some museum that stores artifacts of technology. In another 100 or so years, the folks flying around in their anti-gravity suits going to work can look on their 3D super-HDTV's monitor in their helment at the history of a 2006 Christian website called MyChurch.org and see how a wanna-be PURPLE sleeping bag changed history! |
| April 26, 2007 |
Dennis, I know it's your birthday (happy birthday, btw!) but don't be stirring stuff up... And Carebear's right -- on Antiques Roadshow, they're always talking about an item's provenance, its origins and the story behind it, as making the real difference in something's price. |
| April 26, 2007 |
Aw shucks, It's just old age setteling in :) I like that, provenance, that means that even though i'm getting old myself, that my provenance gives me interesting character, right? I mean really, provenance helps? Right? |
| April 26, 2007 |
$16.50 With all these comments...I hope I upped the correct figure :) Yes, I used to sell used home school books on E-Bay. I stopped a few years ago. Then I used to just buy....but NOW there's MyChurch! Saving me a bundle! But now we are bringing E-Bay to Mychurch :) |
| April 27, 2007 |

I saw Sue last night. She is such a sweetie (don't let that crock fool you!). Thanks for upping the ante Sue. Dennis, whatchatalk'n 'bout dude? Are you dis'n the bag blog? Grace to you (LOL!!!) and happy birth day too brother :-) Dave, your loyalty to the bag blog and steadfast faithfulness to purple is a blessing (I’m being silly here). Seriously though, they say laughter is good for the soul… you have kept me in stitches J Thank you!!! |
| April 27, 2007 |
Carebear, Cathy, DC, you make me smile :-) Love to all mychurch family!!! Pastor Dan, I can't help but notice, you have not graced the bag blog with a star. I think I will "just ask"... So, why? Is it the sleeping bag? Is it the color purple? Is it the dialogue? Is it me? Well, I thank you for your commentary just the same brother. Maybe you will consider adding a comment and/or star to the Mississippi Picture Blog? Better yet, how about you post a picture there of your relief work following Hurricane Katrina? Happy Friday everyone!!! |
| April 27, 2007 |
| Uh-oh, let me not forget precious Rita... sistah, you crack me up!!! "I see panties, and socks- a fan to spread the bad air.... haha! But sleepingbag???" LOL!!! You are dinstinctly German in your humor. You remind me so much of my dear friend Ingrid (who has yet the join mychurch... but, I'll keep working on her). |
| April 27, 2007 |
| $16.51...Deal or no deal? |
| April 27, 2007 |
| Brightness, blue? OH NO!!! NEVER!!! Well, maybe reddish/blue or bluish/red (is bluish a word?). |
| April 27, 2007 |
| I have $16.51 come on do i hear $17.00 this bag has been on a very important ministry trip which increases it's value alone but add in that it was Mary Ann's well that blows the value right off the charts. I'll bid $17.50. |
| April 27, 2007 |
| Okay Mary Ann, I tell you what, I kind of like the sleeping bag myself just as it is...well I was going to say, well maybe not, okay, okay, I'll ask the question...can I have it then or maybe you'd rather put up for a auction....I mean I love the bag and it's color, blue! It's my favorite color, what do you say? |
| April 27, 2007 |
MaryAnn, When you said "Don't let that crock fool you", I thought you meant "crock of bull :)" Until I had a minute to realize what you meant. Remember...I am a blonde! lol I am assuming the proceeds will go to Denise's windows????? $18.02 |
| April 27, 2007 |
HaHa!!! Crock of bull... that's funny Sue. Maybe I should have used "croc" for short instead. Hey Brightness, if you really need the bag, it's yours! Otherwise... I'll need to consider some of the other suggestions and offers here. :-) Angie, no deal! :-) Rosie, thank you for the added value. :-) Cathy, $25? Is that what's in your wallet today? What, no change? LOL!!! |
| April 27, 2007 |
Ok did not read all the comments - here is my peanut thrown from the peanut gallery... a) Your sleeping bag is cool. b) Are you married? I couldn't not tell by your profile. C) If not - by being a blue sleeping bag person you may attract a red sleeping bag person and then then the two of you will be PURPLE :) |
| April 27, 2007 |
SSTTR, you are brilliant!!! I am single. Where can I find this red sleeping bag person? |
| April 27, 2007 |
OK...Sue, that was a REALLY blonde moment..thanks for the smile... I tend to agree with provenance or whatever they call it...there is history in this bag. How many states has it traveled??? Maryland, Viginia, Tennessee, Mississippi...four? Ummmmmm, well, I can pass on the latte for a couple of days...ok, $26! |
| April 27, 2007 |

Cathy, we have a Seattle's Best in our building. Run by a Korean man who is a missionary. He led a team to Oman last year. Real missionaries, too. They go in teams of four. They took a cab to a little village in the middle of no where and started walking through the town knowing God would provide. They met people, were invited in to eat and stay and while there taught about the Gospel. He is the one I buy my Lattes from, so I am not too sure I want to take away from him too much...oh, and I spend $4 a day, twice a week...OK!?!?! Because it has been through 7 states, I'll go $27...wait, did I just raise my own bid? Cathy, look what you made me do!!! |
| April 27, 2007 |
You raised your own bid...and you talk about blonde moments! lol After all, crocodile does not begin with c-r-o-c-k :) But "Crock of Bull" does....lol, hillarious! |

| April 30, 2007 |
| Sorry, I 'm only allowed $1.25 in my pocket at any one time, remember I have 3 daughters, and ex-wife, and 2 grand-daughters, I not only don't have any money left, if I did I'd give it away to my Anna and Lou(I'll post pictures soon, they are soooooocute)! |
| April 30, 2007 |
| Cathy, I think you may be the proud owner of a used blue sleeping bag :) |
| April 30, 2007 |
| Nope. I'll go $50. |
| April 30, 2007 |

| April 30, 2007 |
Mary Ann must not want to part with her now-not-new sleeping bag. Somebody needs to bid $1,000 and watch Mary Ann bid $1,000.01. The possibilities will be endless; not to mention a complete house full of new windows. :) Dave |
| April 30, 2007 |
| Now we are talking Dave so is your bid $1.000.00 going once going twice do i hear any other bids????????????? |
| April 30, 2007 |
| Sorry Mary Ann Dennis and Dave has out bid you remember it's for a good cause everyone keep those bids coming. Denise will be nice and cool this summer and nice and warm this winter with those new windows purchased by a PURPLE SLEEPING BAG |
| April 30, 2007 |
"Somebody" does not equal "Dave" ... LOL But I will enter a "double-nickel" bid of $55. Dave |
| April 30, 2007 |
I better hurry up and order my new sleeping bag!!! I cannot stand the thought of being bagless. It will be purple!!! |
| April 30, 2007 |
Cathy, I am willing to "go together" with you on this and COMBINE our bids ($299.99 + $55) making it a nice sum of $354.99 which is about what ONE window costs these days. Dave |
| April 30, 2007 |
| Dang!!! I didn't want to have to do this... but, now I am forced to up Cathy's bid by $0.01 to a total of $300. Dave, how could you think of dividing the bag? It must stay intact! :-) |
| April 30, 2007 |
Cathy and Mary Ann, Y'all got my $55 for the window donation. I'll contact you via message here to find out who to make the check out to and where to mail it. Dave P.S. I think perhaps the sleeping bag should be hung somewhere in your church. Somebody could stitch a nice scripture on it. Then hang it up like a wall banner. I bet Pastors Mark and Dan could come up with a lot of stories (and sermons) about the history of Mary Ann's sleeping bag. |
| April 30, 2007 |
OK, I'm going to send out a challenge ! I say everyone who bid take their highest bid, or if you really are daring take the highest bid, and match what hte highest bid was ! This would mean that Denise and maybe even someone else will get windows. Then I think you should hang the bag, among any banners you might have and let everyone thst see's the bag ask abot why a lowly sleeping bag would be given such honor. Mary Ann, I so appreciate your sacrifice, I know you really likes the sleeping bag, even if it wasn't purple. I hope that the people who run into this on Google will understand the value of this bag, this blog, and Mychurch.org! Dennis PS. I vote for this to be the blog of the year, against which all others will forever be measured!!!! |
| April 30, 2007 |
I can help out a little for the windows. I will just put it in the tithe box with a note on the bottom. Wait until Denise hears how we raised the funds for her windows :) |
| April 30, 2007 |
WOW!!! Mychurch brothers and sisters are the REAL DEAL!!! God bless you all... and may the Glory go to our AWESOME Heavenly Father and thanks to His Son Jesus Christ... forever and ever AMEN!!! |

Yeah you have done it Mary Ann you are raising money for Denise's windows and you get to keep your sleeping bag. You all are the best but now you know you've put me out of my new job as auctioneer i was really getting into it. Anything else we can sell???????????????LOL |
| May 01, 2007 |
Hiya Rosie, I will part with my sleeping bag and ship it to anyone who out bids my $300 offer (which I will still donate to C3's Katrina fund for Denise's windows)... WOO HOO!!! $601, that would be almost two windows (right Dave?). So...
| May 01, 2007 |
| My check is written and will be in the mail tomorrow. I'd mail it today but I cannot get to where my wife keeps the envelopes and stamps (out of my reach). She doesn't want me to write any S.O.S. letters. LOL (j/k) Dave |
| May 01, 2007 |
My check will also follow! Dennis PS, how can I not help someone named "Denise"! |
| May 01, 2007 |
Denise is going to love her new windows! |
| May 02, 2007 |
| My check will be in mail friday, this feels better than a cuddle with a fuzzy bunny. |
| May 02, 2007 |
| Just to let y'all know, I just got a $70 gift from a church in Georgetown, TN. that goes towards the windows. |
| May 02, 2007 |
| Cool...my check is on the way, too. Rosie, I am not sure about your fuzzy bunny comment...in more ways than one... |
| May 02, 2007 |
| voice don't you like fuzzy bunnies???????????? we use to have bunnies when we were kids they were so soft and fun to hold but they were little stinkers if you know what i mean. My bunnies name was Puff and my brothers bunny was Popcorn. |
| May 02, 2007 |
| OK, we had a bunch of rabbits when I was a kid, too. Yes you are correct, they are nice and soft....it is just when I think of something really nice a "cuddly bunny" just doesn't come into my mind...even when I work with it for a bit...still, I understand where you are coming from. I wonder if Denise or someone down there is praying for her windows because God is doing a work here! |
| May 02, 2007 |
| I have noticed that nobody had only one bunny, I'll jut leave it a that, there not as bad as Tribble's, but almost....... |
| May 02, 2007 |
| Oh yes...one of my favorite Star Trek episodes. I had totally forgotten about the Trouble with Tribbles. What a neat memory! Oh, and I think we had at least six rabbits - at the beginning....turned into far too many in a very short period of time... |
| May 02, 2007 |
I had just one Rabbit. His name was Bumper and he was blue/grey in color. Started out as Bonny, discovered Bonny was a boy, wanted to name him Thumper, changed it to Bumper (keeping the "B" sound in his name... to which he had already grown accustom). I can't stand to see animals caged. So, eventually, I let Bumper have free range in our back yard and the fields behind our home. Soon, there were many mini-me blue/grey Bumpers hopping around the neighborhood. So adorable!!! |
| May 02, 2007 |
| Okay this is funniest blog ever. I don't know how I've missed it. We never had bunnies. I might need counseling about that. hehehe!!! :) |
| May 02, 2007 |
Isn't God awesome? Somebody can mention a plain, dull, now used, blue sleeping bag and before long, we have a blog with 24 stars, 267 comments, and 2116 reads where everyone is talking about cute little bunnies hopping around the neighborhood; after talking about some plain, drab, white windows that are going to bless Dennise. Oh did I mention that, through all of this, Mary Ann needed a bag carrier, body guard, song writer and painter. I'd say that's a good mix of thoughts to keep us wondering if Mary Ann might end up in Hollywood doing some really odd sitcom based in a church about all of this. Hurry! I need a script on my desk by 9 AM tomorrow morning. I think we have a million dollar movie in the making here! What a great way to put MyChurch in front of everybody around the world! This movie will explain what goes on inside those four walls of a church when things start a rockin and a rollin! Holy Spirit rain down on us and set us a laughin! We are the happiest people on earth! |

I think there is enough material on these blogs to generate a script especially using a little imagination. I mean, this is ALL public information, right? Just change the names to protect the innocent...oh, and I think those white windows are going to have a special glow about them that only those on MyChurch can see... Signed, Bag Carrier (and proud of it!) PS Happy B'Day, PastorDATM |

JAN, click here and you'll find yourself at a fairly extensive (and spyware free) source for smileys! Right-click your mouse on the one you want and select "copy." Then go to the place you want the smiley, right click again, select "paste" and I think you'll be pleased with the result... (assuming you're not a mac user). Enjoy! And you can forward my consulting fee to the sleeping bag fund!

| Jan, The Smilies I use are at www.smileycentral.com I haven't had any trouble with it, but Cathy said it was trying to take over the church computer. Better Smilies, but then there's the risk. It is free, and I won't charge you either :) You could always just delete it if it causes you any trouble. If anything my computer has been working better lately, so Smiley can stay! |

| Sue, you may want to run some spyware removal software--that's what smileycentral delivered along with the graphics. |

Blogs have very limited graphic capability, Jan. MyChurch has been working on it to make it easier, but sometimes it just isn't going to work. Sometimes you have to paste it into something else - like Word, save it, then paste it to the blog. Sometimes that doesn't work either. I have tried a multitude of things. The process that does work all the time is to have it pasted from another website. Easy to do if you have an active site. Mary Ann did that for all her pictures. |

Jan we will get it one day and then watch out for the smilies to be flying everywhere. |

| With Smiley Central, you just click on the Smiley. But you have to make sure that the cursor is in the text box. Then just click on the Smiley and wa-la, you have a Smiley! |

No museum submission? ;) LOL | | 20 stars, over 1500 reads, and still counting! |

| Ann and I hiked at Glacier to one of the many lakes tucked back in the mountains. The one I remember is called Avalanche Lake. It was spectacular. We sat on one side of the lake at water's edge and ate our lunch while watching two bear cubs playing on the other side of the lake - far enough away to be safe, but close enough to see. It was awesome. |

And then the merge of the red and blue bags to get the purple ones this is so awesome i think i'll cry for joy. Hey Mary Ann you and Cathy should come down here this fall we have a wine festival about 30 miles from where i live. |

As an FYI, all I could think about after writing about the wine press with bare feet was the "I Love Lucy" show where Lucy and her neighbor, Ethel, were in the vat mashing grapes! LOL
Anyone remember that show or am I an old geezer? |

Casting to begin soon for "Mary Ann's Bag of Diemermite" (from another blog). Julia Roberts has agreed to play Mary Ann, but only if Richard Gere is the lead man...something about another movie they did together. Rosie and I are the bag carriers. PastrorDATM is our explosives expert. Jan, Cathy, and Carebear are detectives, similar to Charlie's Angels. Dennis is Charlie. We are going to ask CJ to direct - cool glasses. We are still missing a few players, so any other ideas?
Plot is that we are all on a missions trip to the country of Marnasia - a very poor island country 300 miles off the coast of New Zealand. Dave finds a cave full of Diemermite made with a new explosive called C3 that only Dave and two other people knew about. Dave calls his friend Charlie (cell phone coverage provided by Jack Bauer) who decides to have his best three detectives take on the job - they just happen to be on the island at the same time on another missions trip. The first clue that Jan notices is...they all have purple sleeping bags...the story unfolds... |
