Hello friends in Richmond!! We think about you often and keep you in our prayers. Things in Charlotte have been busy this Spring already and we're gearing up for a busy summer with kids out of school. Here's what's going on: 1. John Tyson Jarrell, son of Greg and Helms, was born on March 18. He and mom are doing well. 2. Greg and Helms moved into the second Hyaets home at the beginning of April. They are literally just around the corner. We can see the back of their house from our back yard. The growth into a new house will and has opened new ministry opportunities. 3. The annual beach trip to Caswell beach went well. We took about 12 kids or so and they had a great time. We also held our second annual SHARE day for the community in the beginning of May with the help of folks from Huguenot Road Baptist Church. You can see many pictures of this wonderful day by going to their website at www.hrbcrichmond.org. 4. We are looking forward to welcoming one (and possibly 2) college students this summer as residential summer interns. They will be with us to help with the summer filled with activities. 5. Some of the summer trips for the kids include: Mission trip to Atlanta, Camp at Mars Hill college, and some day trips. 6. Raynard may be able to come home on probation at his next court date--June 4. To read a sermon Jason wrote about Raynard's experience--please visit Jason's blog on our website: hyaets.org. Jamar's doing fine!! The new school that he started in February shut down during Spring Break due to some personal problems with staff. So, he's been home-schooling since then. He will start a new school in the fall and is looking forward to being back at school!! He and a few boys from the neighborhood have already started football practice for the spring. 7. Jason and I shared with our church family yesterday that we have accepted a new position--we are going to be parents!! We will be excited to welcome the third Williams around December 1. Please know that we miss you all and think of you often!! We hope this memorial day is restful for many! Love, Joanie |
