"The World's Greatest Invitation!"
"He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me; and he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will disclose myself to him." John 14:21 No matter what popular teaching tells us, we must stick with what the scripture actually says. Intimacy with God is reserved for the upright. "He is intimate with the upright" (Proverbs 3:32). We find God in the proportion that we seek Him. "The Lord is with you when you are with Him" (2 Chronicles 15:2). "What then has happened that You are going to disclose Yourself to us, and not to the world?" John 14:22 "Jesus answered and said to him, 'If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him'" (John 14:23). "We will...make Our abode with him?" I call that, "The World's Greatest Invitation." |
