I don't believe in love at first sight. I believe there is a connection but not love. Love has to grow between two people. I hear many people at school talking about how they just love this guy. And then I start to wonder what love is and does any one of us truly know. I looked up 1 Corinthians 13: 4 - 8a. I notice that I haven't witnessed this kind of love. No where. Yes, I know there is something in the air when two people commit to one another. But is it love? This scripture says love is patient and kind. Many couples I know aren't patient are kind to thier spouse. I'm not talking about the marriages that marry for something else. I'm talking about the ones who fell deserpately in love. It goes on to say love does not not envy or boast, it is not proud. How many couples do you know that are proud about their marriage and boast about it? How many are envious? It continues to go on to say that love is not rude, self-seeking, or easily angered. That means love is polite and cares about the others more than themselves. Love does not get angered easily or keep recored of wronging doing. It forgives and forgets. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. It means love can't be evil beacause it rejoices with truth. Love always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres. It doesn't hurt you (maybe a little but in the aching for something good it hurts way). It gives you hope and always conquers everything. You can trust love, it won't betray you. At the end it says love never fails. I believe that so much. But I can't find this love in the world. In church when the pastor was talking about how God is love. I didn't understand. But now I have a better clue. Where is says love and replace it with God. Everything rings true. I thought that really cool. So God never fails you, no matter when every earthly thing does He won't.
