| Day 83 Part 5: Unity |

4:1 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called,
Paul tells the Ephesians that they should walk in a manner that is worthy of their calling, but he doesn't just leave it at that, he tells them how to do it. In verse 2 he says "with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (NASB)" What would the body of Christ look like today if we all walked "worthy of the calling"? What would happen if we were humble, gentle, patient, tolerant in love, and were diligent in preserving unity of the Spirit? How would we see the Spirit of God move among us if we just treated each other this way? If we want a unified Christianity, which I'm sure everyone would say they do, then we need to start treating each other the way scripture has outlined for us.
I think MyChurch has done a wonderful job in the pursuit of unity in the Spirit. While there are a lot of positions represented here that I strongly disagree with, I feel as if I can glean the good from every blog I read and maybe add something that someone else hasn't thought of before. I know I read a lot of things that really make me think and hopefully grow up in Christ. Hopefully I am also helping others to grow in Christ and maybe I can show "tolerance for one another in love" while I refine my beliefs and hopefully iron will sharpen iron.
If you have a story about how the unity of the Spirit has been demonstrated to you on MyChurch, please post it in the comments :-)
