| Wow, its been a long time to write... too long! Well, I have been inspired by a good friend who suggested I subscribe to her blog... thanks Marli! Here it goes... I believe God has called us to be "passionate" people. Too many Christians have settled into a routine that lacks energy, joy, vitality and enthusiasm. Certainly we may be saved, and we may be on our way to heaven – but are we making a difference in our world? Is there a fire in our bones? Do we at all resemble those early Christians who transformed a pagan world by their faith and courage? And if not, why not? Just maybe, we need to revisit the "passion" we find reflected by Jesus and His disciples, along with those who have gone before us in this journey of faith! Right now, I am trying to passionate about: Peace - Peace with God, myself and others; Prayer - pursuing God for more than His hand, but His Presence; Passion for People - That God would break my heart for people and I would have the compassion that Jesus has; Passion to Grow - That I would seek to continually grow in the revelation of who God is in my life and in the life of my family, something tells me I have only scratched the surface. Finally, a Passion to be Passionate - Perhaps this is the most important point of all. I believe God's people must have a passion to be "passionate"! I want more of God, want to do more for God, and want to be a better reflection of God's love. Knowing that God works with what I give him... I plan to give my all! Later, Eddie |
