Steve this might be good advice to the young and I agree with it at a certain stage of maturity.

But to the pure all things are pure and all evil serves a stage in the purpose of God.

Tit 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

It's kind of like the different denominations.  Some minds see dancing as impure, some eating meat, some music, even others see certain beliefs as impure.

The impurity is not coming out of the evil doer. It is coming out of the observer's eye.

I know this is not an easy saying, but it is True. All judgment radiates from the observer.
This is why the Bible secret design brings out the eye of the beholder.

Some see God as unable and other's see nothing is impossible for God. Some see sin, while others see only themselves. (depends on what you accept as yourself)

The Bible does not Reveal God.....The Bible reflects the eye of the soul of the individual looking into it. Like a Mirror.

kw:  The Bible says that we will drink poison and it will not harm us, but I am not going to drink it up..  We are to avoid all appearance of evil.  Sin is not just our perception.  It is a reality.  Jesus didn't die for perception, but in truth.  Sinful thoughts and actions are poison to human beings.  As believers we should repent and avoid every type of sin.

Hey, a double whammy, Steve.  First, your blog is a very good reminder that we shouldn't feel guilty about conversations in the hall or in our head.  You'd be surprised how many people carry this guilt around with them.  ).  Second, your blog is a good encouragement and good advice of what to do with these thoughts.  Good job, keep up the good work.  PTL

Like I said Steve, good advice for the level most people are on. There are very few who walk in the Pure eye of God and Mind of Christ. Such ways are for those who have laid a side the principles of the Doctrine of Christ and the foundation of  repentance from dead works.

and also we do in fact drink and eat poison every day as we read blog after blog of peoples words.

and Hey, look  we are still here !

Perception is what is revealed when we read the Bible. It shows us who, and where we are.

and most see Sin, more than they see Love.  All one has to do is just read the blogs of those who have read the bible, and the Mirror always reflects their face in their words.

I do not say this in any way as condemning anyone. It is what it is. Line upon line and precept upon precept.

Some of us have been invited to perfection by the Holy Spirit. Please do not be to harsh on us. Our Love is perfected and we see no sin that the cross has not obliterated within the soul of those who dwell here on earth.

We see and know no man after the flesh, but rather Christ and the Faith of God.

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

2Co 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

Only problem, blessedmary, is that the 5th doesn't work with ourselves and with God.

Hahahaha  your pretty cool Steve.  Yeah I have found the 5th doesn't work as well now in this spiritual time. We can but follow as we see as the Word has the Last Word spoken.

Jesus has said we are to take "no thought"  about our tomorrow.

...Such advice kind of makes it a bit difficult to preach a sermon to the world huh?

Hey world...........take no thought about your future...........Jesus said God will take care of it for you...... Some meat is hard to swallow .  Better to just pass the plate and smile.

kw:  Example, lifestyle -- that is what is important in our ministry to the world.  We tell the world to drink living water and expect great results.  But in reality we have to show them!  I love it -- the living water, that is!  Read my latest post 5 by 5.  It is not about the 5th Admendment, but about drinking a 5th of new wine!
