| Two Thumbs Up!! Review By I_wish_I_was_in_Narnia I have read the book series every year since I was six, and I love everything about them . When a movie is being made I desire them to follow the ideas, morals and basic storyline that the genius Lewis penned. This movie had to have been hard to write into a film. because the book Prince Caspian starts out with the kids in Narnia and being told the story then going to fight at almost the end of the story. As for the added romance between Susan and Caspian I have no problem with that and I used to imagine that in the book anyway. The minor differences were no problem and some were welcomed. Altogether Andrew Adamson and Disney along with Weta Workshop did an amazing job at adapting this book to the screen. If you look at some other book-to-movie adaptations such as Eragon, Water-Horse and The Seeker ( The Dark is Rising ) you see that it could have been worse as none of these movies stayed true to the book, though all were good in their own way. The Special effects were out of this world and much better than The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I would give it high ratings if only for the amazing special effects. It was also refreshing to have such strong actors playing the parts of Miraz and his general, although they almost stole the show from the Pevensies and Caspian. Trumpkin was terrific and made for many good laughs. Reepicheep was as adorable and courageous as in the book looked amazing on screen. While Reepicheep was spectacular Trumpkin earned more laughs (which was different than the book). The Pevensie children were not as strong of characters in the sequel but everything considered were still very good at remaining somewhat true to the characters from the book. Peter was more human in the movie than in the book as he dealt with pride and trying to adjust to life as normal. He went from adult High King to teenage boy, and you see his struggles. Susan kicked butt and was a much stronger character than in the book. Lewis had Susan a little weak while on screen she was strong and a very good character. Edmund was the quiet one that everyone loved; whereas in the first he was pretty much hated by everyone. Lucy was not as strong as she should have been; but still cute and doing an amazing job. Her faith in Aslan was beautiful and poetic. Prince Caspian himself was absolutely perfect, they could not have done better at finding someone to play his part. He was the ideal savior prince, excellent choice. Aslan as powerful as ever returned and still voiced by Liam Neeson who once again is superb as the lion we all know and love. The creation of an entire Telmarine culture was cool to see on screen and was just how I had always pictured it. This movie has aspects of Lord of the Rings all through it, with special effects that are out of this world and action that is paced well and a well written plot. The violence has stepped up quite a bit without being gory and gruesome so props to Disney for making such a good family movie that adults can enjoy and not feel guilty. Most Importantly Disney stayed trye to the Christian morals and viewpoints that Lewis wrote that is so important to the series. Good movie with few complaints from one of the books biggest fans.

| Great Review. I haven't seen it yet, but want to. I was amazed at how close the cast, in the first movie, resembled the cartoon that I used to watch growing up. Oh and Erin, we have a $1 theater (the movies are usually there a week before or sometimes the same week they come out on DVD). |

| Great review, Joshua! We saw the movie as a family opening weekend, and we all loved it. It had a few problems, granted. But still, high marks from me for good family entertainment. I also loved the line by...Edmund I think it was? Near the end of the movie he said something that sounded very much like Paul's exclamation, "For when I am weak, I am strong!" |
