| What Is Truth (part 2) |

To the one who willingly gives their treasure they receive not acreage or a deed. In exchange for all they give they receive one tiny seed. And soon the questions begin as doubt creeps in. Were you foolish to give everything? You had thought once you possessed truth you would understand all things. But you are more confused now than ever before. What do you do with a seed and no where to plant it?
In your confusion you begin to seek answers from those around you. One brother has taken his seed and encased it in a trophy case. He has won his race and this is his trophy. A sister has her's enclosed in a beautifully adorned locket as she wears it near her heart as a symol of her love. A group forms of those who want more. The more seeds they have the more they will have. But the only way inside their well-protected fortress is to "share" your seed with them. To get in you have to give them your seed.
But something within you knows there is something about this seed that is more than a trophy, jewelry, or a possession to be protected. It has to be planted. But where? Perhaps there is another oasis. Surely, there must be. So you set off in search of it.
A darkness falls upon your soul as you travel thru a valley of despair. You had sought peace, truth, understanding, gave all to own it, and yet you are further away from these than ever before. From the shadow of death a voice comes with promises of light. By using your seed as a key you will unlock amazing power and discover great riches. You will minister mightily to others. All you have to do is give your seed to the darkness and it will happen. Come unto me.
As you stand there clutching your seed you stare into the empty darkness. Was this a test to see if you would take a leap of faith? To let go and venture into the unknown? You close your eyes in prayer. Your ears are opened. You hear the silent screams of the prisoner, the agony of the deceived, the mourning of the dead.
Opening your eyes you are surprised by the light all around you. And then far more surprised as you stare down into what looks like a bottomless pit. Smoke billows from it. Quickly realizing how close the voice had come to leading you to destruction you turn away. In the distance you see a lonely shepherd on a hillside.
(to be continued.....)
.....peace.....

The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. (Selah)...Pause and calmly think on that....
Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, WHY could not we cast him out?
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Because....I AM the way, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE (Selah)....Pause...and calmly think on that! |
