Our pastor is doing a six week sermon series on "Standing Firm in Shifting Sand". He began this morn with playing guitar and singing this song. Today he preached on expecting God's best. Faith = The belief in God to act in accordance with His character
11:6 And without faith it is impossible to be well-pleasing `unto him'; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and `that' he is a rewarder of them that seek after him.
We have to take time with God. Praying, reading His Word and listening. We have to do this daily......saturate!!!!
Set my goals according to God's purpose!
9:25 And every man that striveth in the games exerciseth self-control in all things. Now they `do it' to receive a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 9:26 I therefore so run, as not uncertainly; so fight I, as not beating the air:
10:25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting `one another'; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.
Studies show that you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. We need other Christians for encouragement and we need to encourage!

But you know I've seen so much, I've explained it away.... My faith is like shifting sand so I stand on Grace.....

Well, sift through those thoughts!!!!! I'm still thinking on it too, LOLOL I do know it's easy to be faithful when things are going good.....it's when the times get rough that my faith is tested. And many times I've failed :( But, ya know what, He still loves me and takes me right back to where I should be!!!!!!
