| Another Job |

Hello to everyone! I am really starting to miss all of my friends and family. Actually I think it is just miss having something to do. The past two days I have been out searching for another part time job. I thought I almost had one yesterday, but so far nothing has turned up with that. Then today, I went into another retail clothing store and they had a now hiring sign. They seemed to like my availability, so hopefully something will come from that. I just have to make sure they give me the time off I need for my internship. I told them I had moved into the area for a part time job and needed another one as long as I could have Sunday's and Wednesday's off, the manager I talked to didn't seem to think that would be a problem. So I am going to call them everyday until I bother them so much they give me a job.
Last Sunday, I talked to the youth/young adult group I am working with and they are starting to open up. They are so laid back and nothing seems to phase them, which is good just hard to get answers when you want to know what to plan. They usually spend most of their time together on Sunday's either going out to lunch or movies after worship and then hanging out until youth group starts at 6. I really think I am going to like it here.
Last Saturday, the church had a car wash to send the Vietnamese kids in the church to Quaker Lake camp. I forgot to put sunscreen on my face and it got a little red. Don't tell mom this but I also got a little red on the backs of my knees. My legs never get burnt so that was a shock. We made enough to pay for one child to go to camp. The kids were a little disappointed, but were told they had more than enough to cover everyone going to camp.
As for this week, tomorrow, Wednesday, the church is having their monthly fellowship dinner and I guess you could say I am the guest of honor. It is a dinner so that the church can get to know me. So much fun. I love getting asked questions I seriously don't know the answers to. However, it is definitely the way to build friendships and if I want to stay and serve the church here that is what I will need to do. Everyone has been great and I couldn't have asked for a better church family to get acquantied with that the people at Glenwood Friends. They remind me so much of everyone at Pleasant Chapel.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I think of the impact you have had on my life and how it is going to benefit my leadership and faith in God as I express to the youth at Glenwood, just what a church family can do for one another. I haven't seen the church family respond to an incident the way that I have watched so many at Pleasant Chapel, but it is only 3 weeks since I met the church. I continue to hold Pleasant Chapel and my family and friends in my prayers as I move into a closer relationship with Jesus and find just where my Lord and Savior is leading me. Love to all, until next time. H |
