| Use the Shield of Faith to Endure |

I must say that I'm Still Standing after enduring some of the firery darts of the evil one. Without the whole armor of God, it's hard to resist the devil. Use the armor of a christian soldier (Isaiah 59:17, Ephesians 6:10-15) such as the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, and the feet fitted with the gospel of peace. But do not forget to add the sheild of faith to all of this "which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one"(Ephesians 6:16). God, who is the arthur and the finisher of our faith can deliver us from any situation if we put our trust in him (Proverbs 3:5,6). When I went to Johns Hopkins' emergency room, I never realized my days were coming to an end. But God in his infinite wisdom and unconditional LOVE knew all about my situation and already put me in the masters plan. I was put at the top of the waiting list for a liver transplant. I immediately went into a coma for three weeks. While waiting on a liver transplant, in my dream I saw a gold cross laying inside of the steeple of Johns Hopkins Hospital. It was large enough to lay from one side of the room to the other side. When I came out of the coma, after receiving a liver at the last possible second, and the doctor had told my wife that I only had 2 hours to live and those 2 hours had gone by, and the devil had throwed his darts, I continued to see this cross in my mind and the pretty lights in the Chapel across from my room. I regained conscieness not long after the surgery. For one month I continued to look at this steeple and wondered what was in it. Six months later, when I was able, I went to JHH's Chapel and saw the statue there which represented the resurrected JESUS. The blessing that I received from this experience was for me to know that my Lord JESUS is no longer on the cross, but He is Risen!!! The increased faith that God has given me is enough for me to know not to worry about anything because all power is in his hand, even to raise the dead and to sustain life.
6:14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 6:15 and having shod your feet with the equipment of the gospel of peace; 6:16 besides all these, taking the shield of faith, with which you can quench all the flaming darts of the evil one. |
