I'm so glad you focused on some marks of real revival like Christ-centeredness, repentance from sin, changed lives, etc. Well said. Is self-indulgence a good word for a counterfeit revival?

I do have the utmost respect for Mr. Grady's willingness to step into the fray and call leaders to accountability. We must at all cost, examine not just this revival but all such encounters--whether staged in Lakeland or someone's living room--against the Word.

Those of you who are being wooed to Lakeland, or to some group or meeting because they have been to Lakeland, I pray that you will examine your own desires for attending. Do you think if God is pouring out His spirit in the last days that He will pass you over because you didn't get the 'impartation' from Lakeland? Do you need an impartation to hunger and thirst for God and experience His glory? NO! You need only to build relationship with Him and as He promised, He will give you the desires of your heart-He will not pass you by or leave you behind because you didn't watch GodTV or hit the road to 'get some.'  Most likely He will give you more than ever dreamed of, if you will consume His Word with passion and seek Him in solitude and humility.

There is no substitute for these things. What ever you think is being 'imparted' to you will quickly fade, even if it is real, if you do not humble yourself to seek Him, worship Him, and learn His ways--which is the only impartation we need ever seek after.

Those who have been walking the walk for many years, who also have experienced miracles of healing and deliverance are raising red flags for a reason. No one would be crying foul if these were not serious departures from the Word of God!

I am a 'Charasmatic' and I have always been involved in Charasmatic circles. I have studied the Word for more than 25 years and have witnessed and experienced many miracles-and I am throwing up the red flag with out reservation. This Lakeland phenomenon is intermingled with spiritism, necromancy and magic, and it is being adorned with the name of Jesus-maybe, but it is a thin disguise.  I find NO scriptural premise that justifies, predicates or allows the intermingling of blatant occultism with the Gospel of The Kingdom. In fact, all such practices are condemned by scripture. And if it's even questionable why would you go there? Is not the better exercise of wisdom to forego this 'experience' in the light of the controversy surrounding it?

Thanks, dearly beloved in Christ, for all your comments.  We have to test every spirit by its fruits only and not by the signs and wonders.  We would know the spirits of a preacher if we know whether he is known for his humility to accept corrections/warnings from fellow brethren/sisters in the Lord, and for his love for the Body of Christ.  If you abide in Him, you will defintely be in a position to judge the ministry of the preacher concerned.
