| Stories of How God's People have Blessed our Lives |

I was just pondering the other day about all of the times when God's people have really been a tremendous blessing in my life. I have way too many stories to tell in this one little blog. But I thought I would share a few and ask you to do the same. This blog exists to give God glory, and to hopefully stir in each of us to be the blessing that so many have been to us.
Here are some of the stories that I will never forget:
When I was in the hospital with pregnancy complications for 9 weeks, someone came to my house and cleaned it from head to toe, even though it had not been cleaned in over 2 months! What a blessing!
During that same 9 weeks, the Pastor from my previous church, came to visit me every other day. He also sat in the waiting room with my parents till 1:00 AM waiting for Jamie to be born. He lived 1 hour a way. So 2 hours up and back, and yet he was there faithfully. He also came each time the complications got worse. I firmly believe that this man prayed my youngest daughter into existence.
When I first quit my full time job. My friend John, who owns an auto garage, used to stay after hours to work on my car, and only charge me for the parts.
A family at my old church saw I needed another car, so they gave me one!

I'll try to make these short, the first one that comes to mind is that when I was laid off of my job for being pregnant, our friend Mark Wigley, bought me the machines that I needed to start my own sign company so I could stay home and take care of my baby. If anyone wants to know more about the story just ask. Another one is that good friends of ours gave us a van so we could fit all of our kids in it. Toni ><> |

Sue, within one years time, I had given birth to my youngest, AJ, had a hernia surgery and then a hysterectomy. My church family brought meals to us for each time that I was hospitalized. I had meals in our home for at least a week and a half to two weeks for each event. Sometimes they went even longer.
I can also name several times that gifts of money were just left on my husbands desk with no name or reason behind them. These gifts came at the most appropriate times too, of course, because God's people listened and obeyed. There are so many down the road that I could name...these were just a couple that came to mind. Thanks for stirring up the thoughts so that I could be thankful for the times that I have been taken care of! |

This is a great blog idea sue! So much comes to mind... thanks to those who have a generous heart and are obedient over the years, but I will keep it short. When, through no fault of my own, as a single mom I suddenly lost my prospering business and then our home in 1989, several families invited us to live with them and provided all our needs. Years later.. a sister in the Lord was led to give me a years salary, because Father told her I am called to write... (this was a confirmation to what was in my spirit, and increased my faith enough to step out and begin writing, hence the creation of www.EnterIntoGodsRest.com) |

| There's so many things that come to mind Sue. In the past two years alone - a couple of friends of mine have kept me propped up when everything was going belly-up. They supported me, encouraged me and stood by me when everyone else had ran away. One particular friend in those friends saw something inside me that no-one else could see. The list could go on and on. |

| When I moved from NY to Maryland , I was 6 months pregnant , I had COBRA insurance through my previous employer. COBRA is expensive insurance... I had to pay $285.00 a month, and that was just for me... not my other 2 kids, not my husband, and not even the new baby once it was born! My church in NY gave me a baby shower before I moved. One of my gifts from the church was that they paid for the next 6 months of my insurance, but the amazing thing was that they paid an increased amount that made sure for the next 6 months my entire family had medical insurance, not just me. What a blessing that was... God knows the need, and provides everytime. |

| These are all great stories. Thanks so much for sharing. So often we hear what is wrong with the church. I think it is also good to document the stories about what is right with the church. You won't hear this stuff on your local news :) Blessings! |
