| One Way: Jesus! |

4:10 be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by him this man is standing before you well. 4:11 This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, but which has become the head of the corner. 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Jesus Said, "I am the way, the truth and the life and no man comes to the Father but by me."
Did you see the verse in Acts 4:12? There is salvation is no one else! Jesus is the only name by which a person can be saved.
Your good works can't save you.
A moral life can not save you.
Your faith in another religion can not save you.
Your faith in the church can not save you.
No matter how much money you give to charity or the church will not save you.
Your baptism can not save you.
Your parents can not save you.
Your devotion to another faith can not save you.
Only Jesus can save you!
I had someone say to me that God was like a big house. It didn't matter how you got into the house, as long as you got into the house. You could go through the front door, or the back door, or through a window or down the chimney but as long as you got into the house you are good to go. I was nodding my head in agreement, and then caught myself. "No, No No" I said, Jesus said He was the door and anyone who entered by another means is a thief. There is no other way to God other than Jesus Christ who is God Himself.
This flies in the face of our pop culture and the thinking that it does not really matter what we believe as long as we are sincere. There is a notion, that as long as you believe in something greater than yourself, then everything will work out fine for you.
Jesus was very clear, "if you accept me, then you accept the one that sent me." I know I may sound like a narrow-minded Bible thumping bigot, but this is what the Bible says. It is either right or it is wrong. I believe it is right, and what it says ought to be followed and heeded.
JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO GOD.
JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO SALVATION.
JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO FORGIVENESS OF SIN.
JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO HOLINESS.
10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10:10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Confess and believe Who and What? That Jesus is Lord. (The word "Lord" means Supreme Authority)
Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord today. Simple as "A" "B" "C"... Accept what He did for you on the cross as a substitute for your sin. (Sin is the things you have done wrong). Believe that Jesus loves you and has the power to take away that sin, by dying on the cross and rising again from the dead. Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus. Saying, "Jesus I believe in you, Jesus I receive what you have done for me." The Bible says, then you shall be saved. It is that simple!

| Brother Todd The Lord has spoken to me many times in the past few days! I opened an old bible that I had not read for years...the page was folded at .....Acts 4 HE IS TELLING US ALL!!!! love Stu. |

| Yes friend you got that right. I appreciate your comment on my blog of a similar nature. I am glad that you added that bit about baptism. The Campbellite crowd seems to be gaining ground and they are flat heretics. Baptism cannot save you, only Jesus! Praise God! |

This was actually a hard truth for me to see...I always said I came from a monkey (really drove the mom nuts) but deep down I really did believe...there were days that I knew I was going to hell and didn't care because I knew I wasn't worthy enough for Heaven...then it turned into, well I've straightened my life up a lot so this merciful God won't condemn me...until one day, I received my God Smack moment...
I know why people struggle with this...I was there...but ONE WAY...and the shortest distance from hell to Heaven is the cross...thanks Brother Todd...excellent post...I'm a sinner saved by Grace and this has a whole new meaning for me!!!!! |
