I had the wonderful opportunity to work with a student this year as her mentor on her senior project. I wrote the story and she came up with the illustrations. My friend Helen narrated the story. I am so excited about the outcome. We also had a book published on lulu.com that contains the story and the illustrations in book format. I am a teacher who loves my job. I get to encourage youth every day. I look for their positive qualities and try to reinforce those. My students motivate me in many ways. The result of this project will be a writer's/illustrator's club; we plan to produce many more stories like this one.
