Whenever I get defeated by the world... just trying to maintain my Christian walk, I am reminded of the fact that there were those who had seen the miracles of Jesus but still rejected Him. The proof of the Gospel was right in front of them but they were blinded because of...? That we cannot say for certain. People today are not that much different than those who lived at the same time that God inhabited flesh and walked among us.
That in itself raises another question...what can we do to show the lost of the world the author of the faith that keeps us going and how that same hope could be theirs?
By looking to the author of the plan and how He intended the lost to know Him... by the name of His Son, Jesus.
No other way - not works nor money nor power nor fame.
Nothing but by the name of Jesus!
Point the lost to Him. Let them know that God loves them. Let them know that is the reason for the cross. That the gloom of Good Friday led to victory three days later. The name of Jesus still has that power... try it and and see.
The world is looking for answers and if we don't tell them, who will?
