I find it very interesting how much of an impact US politics has on the actions of other countries.

Well I think Israel thinks of us as a big brother and they respect our input; weather rhetorical or physical. They generally don't take a wait and see approach; so I believe they will take some action in the very near future. The article that  preceded this one said that the U.S. may strike Iran in August. I guess we'll know pretty soon.

The article is very enlightening to me. I praise GOd for the way He is working in and thru the world politics. I am so thankful to you for the blog becasue i am made aware of thing that are happening on the otherside of the world. May be that is the reason why someone said " We need to hold the Bible in one hand and the news paper in the other hand"

God is on the throne .

"We need to hold the Bible in one hand and the news paper in the other hand"

Huh?

You cannot serve two Masters.

Who's it gonna be, Rupert Murdoch or the Lord? Pick one.

God doesn't say that we shouldn't be aware of the world; only that we should not be of it. We are to pray in our closets not stay in our closets. God Bless you Gio. Thanks for the comment.

Oooo!  I like that:
"Pray in our closets - not to stay in our closets."
Words to live by!

So it would seem almost inevitable that a strike will be ordered by Israel in the near future given the political situation there and here.  What do you think - January toward the end of the current administration before the new one has a chance to be at the helm?  Little reaction from the outgoing Bush administration and no opportunity for the new president (whoever that may be) to act - only orate.

Oh, and I don't think there's any choice between Rupert and anyone else.

From everything I see and read I don't believe it will be very long at all. I'm leaning more toward August / Sept. It's inevitable. It will all come to pass in God's time. Thanks Gene.

Funny thing. . .
I heard this being discussed on the NPR's Fresh Air today.  The speaker was from the New York Times - Seymour Hersh.  He thinks that it will be done by the Bush Administration and not the Israelis.  They apparently do not have the armament to make the impact attack necessary to hit the hardened target - 750 ft below ground.  Nor do they have the manpower for the action.  He also thinks that the Israelis will not make the effort unless they can have the protection and support of the USA.

Hersh was saying that he thinks Bush will order the attack because Cheney will not have it any other way.  The strike will be after the US elections but timed not to coincide directly.  If Obama wins the strike will definitely happen because Bush wants it to happen and Obama would not have the desire to do it - and if McCain wins, the strike won't happen because Bush figures that McCain would probably do it.

It probably will be us to strike; I heard that six months before the Iraqi war Cheney made a circuit through the Middle East. He just made that same circuit not too long ago so- I think it will be inevitable. The time table you suggest does make sense. Thanks for the info ands God Bless.
