| Seeking is the hard part |

As I read this verse, it reminds me when Jesus said we are to ask, seek and knock. The words of Christ are words with continual action...we are to keep asking, keep seeking and keep knocking. The Psalmist says he will seek God with his whole heart. How hard that is at times, esp. with the distractions of the world! To seek God with our whole heart means we have to keep somethings out, for we cannot have a divided heart. That is a challenge I face and I am sure many Christians face. The writer also has a plea...do not let me wander! How often when we seek God, we wander mentally and spiritually. This verse is a challenge, and God is faithful, for He will not abandon us if we seek Him with our whole being, for that is what He promised.
119:10 With my whole heart I seek thee; let me not wander from thy commandments! |
