WOW! AWESOME! UNEXPECTED! ENCOURAGED! UPLIFTED! Definately went deeper with God.
I don't know where to start because EVERYTHING was awesome from beginning to start. My excitement started as I was given my blue bag and found some many useful things inside.
The first evening as the program started it shook me off my seat. The lights, the sounds, the big screens, the music, the narrators! What a great job was done! It was amazing and captivating! The first night it really took me by surprise the introduction of the NC and TC. How they became from giants to regular people and they came out from out of the screen. WOW! Love the angels hanging from the ceiling. The message was inspirational how he got me thinking about life in chapter 5 and looking forward to being in chapter 6.
The second day the morning worship was awesome. It got me jumping. It definately help prepare my heart for knowing more about the chapter 6 experience. The ladies rally was spectacular, even though it was packed and I had to sit in a little corner in the back. My neck kept stretching to see the screens. The dancers did such a great job in the musical. I really enjoyed how they presented the lady at the well vs the lady at starbucks. The program was well planned. The musical was written excellent. The bulletin will be used for sure in my scrapbook bible study pages. And what would Home League (Ladies Ministries) be without getting a gift. Thank you for that little extra.
I have to say that the child care was awesome. I felt they were very organized and personally didn't waited as long as I thought in line for check in and check out. My little toddler is not one to be in child care every day, so I'm so happy he had a great experience. He had lots of toys to play with. I can tell he enjoyed meeting other little friends, because we met another family during lunch and he actually recognized their little girl. It was so cute to see that.
Saturday's Brengle Musical was out of this world. I have to honestly said that I laugh so hard at some of the scenes, even to the one that not everyone saw (the cadet that lost her skirt). I have to give her lots of credit. She did a great job of improvising and walking out like nothing happen, because not everyone noticed. Of course I ended up sitting all the way in the top because it was pack and I had a bird's view. The cadets all did a great job in the dancing and singing.
Sunday morning I was excited for the new Leutenants. I was blessed to hear of some many new opening corps. My favorite was listening to the Officer's Covenant by Lt. Viera. It really moved me. You can tell he was speaking from his heart. The message was again awesome.
Overall I'm so proud to be in the Salvation Army and have the kind of leaders we have. I know for sure that it was the result of all that prayer we did this past year. I'm impressed by the spiritual caliber of our National Commander and was inspired and encouraged by all his messages. Can't wait to by the DVD when it comes out.
At the end of the day putting up with a 10 hour motor coach trip with a jumping toddler in my lap, wasn't that bad. I have to thank my husband for all the jokes he told during the trip that mades us laugh and made the trip shorter than it was. |
