| All Right Now! |

God loves us so much and yes believe it or not, He wants us to love Him also. We show our love to Him by our deep devotion to God and His Word, not just an occasional reading, but actually doing what the Word says, or rather, living the Word. God loves us and always has our best interest at heart, it's just that sometimes I think we forget that.
Now these two verses may seem like God is asking a whole lot from us, but is he really? And for many it's that three letter word that scares people the most. It's that three letter word that the "inner-me" in most of us convinces us back to failure because anything in this life without God is an automatic failure as far as I'm concerned. God wants our all. 99½ won't do.
Doesn't God deserve your/our 100% , to walk in all his ways, to love and serve Him with "all your heart and all your soul?" We bring joy to God's heart not by our lip service, but by our life service. Well, I don't know about you, but God wants my all and I am more than happy to give Him my all. Now that doesn't mean that I don't make mistakes, and that I don't fall short of the mark because I do. Yet even though my all may be tattered, and filled with holes, I know that God's knows my heart, and accepts my all because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son. Are you prepared to give God your All right now?''
Pastor Aminata
10:12 "And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 10:13 and to keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD, which I command you this day for your good? |

| Amen Pastor Aminata! It's an all or nothing proposition but we can never give more than He gives to each one of His children, even when we're living for Him 100%; because His love is fathomless! |

But what would happen if I actually did that? I mean really give GOD my all holding nothing back. What if it doesn't work out? What if I love GOD with all my heart and soul and keep His commands and instead of life getting better it gets worse?
When these kinds of questions and doubts prevail I will never give GOD my all. Instead, I play "poker" with GOD. I try to read His hand to see if He has a better hand and or if he is bluffing. The important thing is that I win. But to go all in I have to have a really good hand. So I bide my time and if I get the hand I want I will go all in. Until then, no way.
But for the one who walks away from the game and into His love it's not about winning but relationship. A relationship so wonderful that giving all is not a sacrifice but a privilege. Like the person who gives themself fully to their spouse and their spouse to them, life becomes a joy. Not because of continous sunshine and favorable circumstances. Your joy is who you go thru life with.

Birdie - you know it's the holding back that baffles me. When we hold back on anything, it's because we think the receipent doesnt' deserve all. Our all pales in comparison to God's love. Apureheart - I love your thinking. It is all about our relationship with God. Knowing that no matter what, God will always be there for us. |

God is so wonderful, in that He loves us and embraces us as we are. Then, "if" and I am willing, He molds like clumps of clay into useful, beautiful beings who can nurture, love and care for others, and His world.
There is none other than God capable of this. Amen! |
