| But He That Endures To The End |
|

Today while reading some of my special friends blogs here at MyChurch, I was especially blessed by a poem that Brother Todd wrote. It blessed me so much that I was inspired by the Lord to chime in with his message and continue the thought. I also had a little help from some of the comments made. I pray that each of you will be blessed by that which the Lord has deposited into my heart for the Body of Christ. But before I get to *my* poem..I will display *his* poem again on my page. He has given me his permission to do so. (smile)

It Is Not Who Is Winning At Half-Time That Counts!
It is only the half-way point, you are battered and beaten The other team's so far ahead you think they must be cheatin' One play after another they beat you at your very best Another half yet to go! You would rather just stay and rest! They are bigger, faster, and stronger - seems no there's no way to win It's gut check time! Take a deep breath and pray for a second wind Odds seem great and defeat and apathy want to settle in You just can not give up you must go out and battle again! You are a warrior, a soldier of the Almighty King Now go out there and give your best as a faithful offering For you know that victory is yours if you choose not to faint There is no such thing as can't or retreat for one of His saints More than a conqueror the enemy is under your feet You shall overcome, while Satan's team will suffer defeat Play like a champion and do not ever look at the score You are surrounded by a great crowd who has been there before They are wildly cheering for you, and are pushing you on They know from experience it's darkest right before dawn. Take heart my friends though the pressure seems to continue to mount No matter the score it's not who's winning at half-time that counts.
Here's my addition to the thought.......
But He That Endures To The End
Oh the heat is on . . . And the pressure is mounting I wanna toss in the towel and just quit Why should I play this game . . . Press on any longer All the obstacles . . . Are giving me a fit
Yes we are sinking fast . . . Look like this game is over I tell you it seems like all hope here is lost But we can't give up now . . . We must continue the battle The saints can't retreat . . . No matter . . . Whatever the cost Cuz in the hall of fame . . . Others are cheering us on Saying don't you faint . . . You can surely win this game Because the God that you serve . . . No . . . He hasn't changed He's yesterday . . . Today . . . And forever . . . Will be the same Saints the short-term outlook is nothing but a distraction Don't even be moved by what in the natural realm you see But just focus your attention . . . On the WORD OF GOD And THE VICTORY . . . You sure nuff will see For the race isn't given to the swift nor the strong But to them that endure to the end God's children have overcome . . . Cuz satan is already defeated JESUS paid the price . . . And with His Blood . . . We DID win So endure my friends . . . Just a little while longer Though the pressure seems to continuously mount You have THE VICTORY . . . And you can take it to the bank No matter the score . . . It's not who's winning at half time that counts
But He That Endures To The End!

My thanks to Brother Todd for the beautiful poetic thoughts, and also to you Marjay. It is an encouragement to me who is having workplace blues, who has felt weakend by two years of it. Have you noticed. when you sometimes find yourself, a little happenstance about opening the work (due to that feeble feeling perhaps that has crept in), the Lord is there, giving His Word, hHis encouragment, through His flock. Thanks again. denise |
