What does it mean to "Stand Guard" ? Who am I am referring to when I say "Stand Guard" ?
You can find this out in the following scriptures:
121:1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 121:2My help [cometh] from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. 121:3He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 121:4Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 121:5 The LORD [is] thy keeper: the LORD [is] thy shade upon thy right hand. 121:6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 121:7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 121:8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
I look up to the hills, but where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let you be defeated. He who guards you never sleeps. He who guards Israel never rests or sleeps. The Lord guards you from the sun. The sun cannot hurt you during the day, and the moon cannot hurt you at night. The Lord will protect you from all dangers,he will guard your life. The Lord will guard you as you come and go, both now and forever. Isn't it a blessing to know that the Lord never sleeps and He guards you, even in every part of your life.
Praise God, The Lord Stands Guard

Sometimes we forget that the Lord will never leave us nor forsake us, don't we? He is our refuge and our fortress and our strength. Funny how we sometimes go to other places to find answers and encouragement. Thanks for the reminder Dr.!

It is good to be reminded about God's protection because sometimes during the cares of life, we forget that he is always there looking over us to protect us.

The Lord is the ultimate protector even when we think we aren't being protected. Stand guard is great. We tend to lose focus of that during our lives. Being on guard starts with His love and affection for us. We must carry these same attributes to each other so that we can have a better way of life.

It IS great to know that the Lord protects. My son Stephen is in Afghanistan until September 30th. Please keep him and his troops in prayer.

Thank you my sister for releasing this word to bring more encouragement to the body...in regards to our fathers protection!!!
As I was reading it the first few words caught my attention I WILL LIFT MY MINE EYES TO THE HILLS. One thing that brought even more understanding= application, than just saying these words and pass it a thought was the reality of our action to LIFTING OUR EYES. WHen we look to the hills, as you said look to the Lord that is giving HIM our full attention...and bringing us into position of an assurity that GOD.....IS OUR GUARD from all things!!!! WOW This is a power word that as we catch and apply the revelation of it....then fear can never grip our mind/heart of what man or anything else can do to us. Because we have a GOD that never sleeps!!!
