| Look in the Basket |
|
| |
Hey it's pool time...and it's hot! About two years ago, I went to to see if the basket in the skimmer needed cleaned out. The way our pool is set up, is that you have to access the basket, either by kneeling on the deck and reaching in or while you're in the pool itself...
Well this particular day, I was by myself. I went up the steps, to the pool and knelt down. Then it happened...when I reached in to get the basket, a voice said to me,"look in the basket." Being by myself at the time, I knew right away it was the Holy Spirit, speaking to me. So without any hesitation, I looked in side the basket...
I was so surprised, to see a live bat with his little teeth showing and hanging upside down. I had no doubt that , the Holy Spirit had saved me from getting bit, by that scared wet bat...We have never had a bat, dead or alive, in all the years we had a pool...
Well about a week later, the same voice told me to look in the basket. I smiled and looked towards heaven and thanked God...And sure enough there was another bat, with his teeth showing, ready to be rescued. The bats come out at night and they swoop down to get a drink from the pool. They get to close to the water and get wet and can't fly once their wings get wet. Then they find their way to the skimmer, for some where to hide and cling to...
To this day, there has never been a bat hanging out in the skimmer...but rest assure I will be listening...to see if I need to look in the basket... |

| "Look in the basket" The Holy Spirit is always telling us that, we need to be sure to take heed and look in. Thanks for sharing such a thought provoking truth to us. |

|
| God is like that skimmer,He's our place to cling to,our place to hide, and He cares about all of His creations, you didn't get bat bit and the bat was rescued and you all lived to tell the story of Gods love, intervention, and obeying as well as hearing Gods ,still, small, voice. |
|

Even though we talked about it on the phone....you know...being able to hear that voice, is truly something that most people don't slow down long enough to do. This is another thing that makes us different than the world -- that "inner" ability from God to "hear" Him - who is All Knowing, ALL Powerful - to be truthful with you R -- there are just a couple things I can't stand -- I have dealt with alot of them - but shucks there are a couple left and one of those is BATS -- so when you said that was in the bucket -- I just said -- HOLY BUCKETS!!! No matter how many times people tell me how many good things they do -- i still yuck out ---
Glad, real glad you "heard" --- xoxoxoxooxox |

Well see what happens when you post a memo!
Voice, Thank you for stopping in and God Bless You!
Tina, It is amazing what the Holy Spirit tells us huh and how much we miss cause were making to much noise....
Val, You finally made it girl..or was it the memo that prompt you...lol..and yes shhhhhhhhhh
Donna, We need to slow down..I know I DO!
Cheryl, I'm glad too, that I memo it...I got 6 of my friends that let me know they read it by comments or by a star. Sometimes I have nothing to say, on other blogs that I read ..so I will give a star!
Mrs. W I will color you red today.."This is another thing that makes us different than the world -- that "inner" ability from God to "hear" Him - who is All Knowing, ALL Powerful" Amen & Amen..What if I said, "Jesus real LOUD!" Is that being a little different? hehehe... Thanks for taking the time and spending it with just me! (((((((hugs)))))))
