| Powerful plans, pending on surrender... |

29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end. This is an incredible book by Andrew Murray, an old Scottish Preacher. It is a small book, and a quick read, but man it packs a powerful punch! If you want some fire lit under you in regard to really being "faith crazed" for God, then read this book. It will be a great help, I'm sure! Remember that God has great plans in store for His children. He wants to bless you and to use you in His service! What a thought-that He, the almighty, perfect, holy being that He is; would choose us not only to save from a hell we deserve, but to use in His service- WOW!!! That's what the above verse is all about, knowing that as a Christian, your God has a vibrant and literal plan for your life. The key to realizing that though is living a surrendered life to Him through the Holy Spirit who indwells us. The book above is a great tool to use to develop such a surrendered life. I have it in my personal library if you ever want to borrow it. Well, God bless and goodnight. Chris |

Are you really advocating surrendering your life to God, so that He can put you in uncomfortable places, occasionally (or often) causing you stress, pain, and anguish? GOOD FOR YOU!! He'll take care of you, and you always have the "prize" (Paul's word) to look forward to. Plus the satisfaction of actually living for HIM is incredible! ~Take care, mike |

I read through that book (or most of it, I should say) as a staff "weekly reading" activity during my internship at a church, and honestly, it stabbed me up all over the place like only the Word of God can. I put ol' Mr. Murray in the same category as Oswald Chambers: if you are able to comprehend their 19th century writing, you'll have your socks blessed off because they both do an excellent job of "puttin' the cookies on the bottom shelf", as J. Vernon McGee used to say. A true Jesus Freak must-read!! -pj |

Chris, I give this a star too....giving yourself totally to God and allowing HIM to mold you into the person HE needs to do HIS will is awesome. My nephew has accepted the call now that he's realized he'd been dragging his feet...he loves the Lord infact had gone to Brazil several years ago with some kids from his Church Group...to share his testimony!!! There were many plp brought to the Lord that week! Brian has been struggling I think with the knowledge that God has chosen him to go into the Mission Field, and now that he's accepted it he's agressively working to finish that education and get back to Brazil. He and his father went there just a month ago to deliver baby items from the church! Yes, a new live one that will be touched by Brian's faith!!!! God bless you dear...I will keep you in my prayers that *being confident of this, that he woul began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
