This is something that I had not planned on blogging ,but it struck me the wrong way so here goes .I was raised up Church of Christ from the time I was born till about the age of 25 my parents their parents and so forth.I still have several friends who are members there and I love them dearly .I was watching my usual Sunday morning preaching before our home service something I have always done a sheep needs a diffrent pasture"pastor "evry now and then.When I came across a Church of Christ preacher who was teaching on the proper mode of worship.and he quoted this verse. 5:16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 5:17 Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 5:18 And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit; 5:19 speaking one to another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; He said that this was proof that having insturments in was church was wrong and God would not accept it,how blasphomeous ? can you get?Just to prove fact ,the word melody in the Strong's means to twitch or twang with a stringed instrument.The only proper mode of worship is worship from the heart not how just pure worship.Some churches may have all their ducks in a row ,but as a whole the "Kingdom is suffering because diffrent denominations are critising all of the other ones for not being like them .I promise you there will be no division in Heaven or in Hell for that matter.God Bless! |
