| LOOK OUT FOR |
|
| |
God knows what is going on in your life. he is always on the look out for good and bad. When you are doing His work, the Father is going to take care of you. One thing that upsets Him very much is shepherds who do not properly feed the sheep. Unfortunately, the sheep are starving to death for the truth of God's Word in many cases. Let's see the Book of Jeremiah for an example.
Jermiah 23:2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered My flock, and driven them away ,and have not visited them: behold, i will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.
The evil shepherds are not looking out for the sheep. God will hold them responsible, but He also looks out for the starving sheep. That is why we have the King James Version Bible. You have the opportunity to study the truth for yourself through the letter He wrote to you. Not that the King James is the only version. But, it is the best studied by scholars. those who are not comfortable with the KJV do not study and are most likely to leed you astray because of this fact.
Jeremiah 23:3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries wither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.
If a shepherd will teach God's truth, the ministry will to work hard to keep up with the growth. That ministry will be blessed.
Jeremiah 23:4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall be lacking, saith the LORD.
When the sheep are fed God's Word, there is no need for them to fear, or be dismayed, or be lacking. They know we have victory, and they won't be deceived.
Jermiah 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall rein and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
The righteous Branch is Jesus Christ. He paid the price on the cross so your sisns could be forgiven, because God is looking out for you. At the second advent, He will rein as King and execute judgement and justice.
Jermiah 23:6In his days judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is His name whereby He shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUNESS.
Righteousness means right. The Lord does what is right concerning you. We all get exactly what we deserve.
Jermiah 23:7therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, 'the Lord liveth, Which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;' But 'The LORD liveth, Which brought up and Which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and shall dwell in their own land."
This looks forward to the millennium. Why can we count on this? Because God looks out for you. It is His promise. Let's look at the Book of Zechariah.
Zechariah 11:12 And i said unto them, "if ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear." So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.
This is the prophecy of the betrayal of Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. It was written long before it came to pass. Thirty pieces of silver was the price of a slave.
Zechariah 11:13 And the LORD said unto me, "Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them." and I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.
Do you know what the thirty pieces of silver bought for you? It bought the potter's field, so that when your earthen vessel, that is to say your body, is broken into a thousand pieces, Christ can mend you. he paid the price.
Zechariah 11:14 Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that i might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel. And the LORD said unto me, "Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.
Here again, we have a warning. The foolish shepherd of the end times is antichrist (instead of Christ. Or impostor) He will be pretending to be the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. Stick with Jesus, and you will never go hungry. He is the living Word.
Zechariah 11:16For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.
The antichrist will not look out for the weak and starving. His only interest is deceiving the sheep to their own destruction. He wants company in the lake of fire.
Zechariah 11:17 Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his fight eye shall be utterly darkened.
The arm and the right eye are symbolic of strength. the antichrist's strength will be dried up, when he is thrown into the bottomless pit (Rev 20:1-3). The sheep belong to God. He looks out for them by keeping a close eye on the false shepherds. Why? He cares for His sheep. He cares for you. Let's look at the Book of Ezekiel.
Ezekiel 34:10 Thus saith the lord God; 'Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require My flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.'
The false shepherd's are feeding the flock false doctrine. They say, "You don't have to understand the Book of Revelations. You are going to fly away". When someone says you don't have to understand God's Word, I would hope you recognize that you are listening to a fruitcake.
Ezekiel 34:11 For thus saith the Lord GOD; 'Behold, I even I, will both search My sheep, and seek them out.
God will look out for His sheep. That is a promise, and he said it emphatically. He is tired of His children being mislead by false shepherds.
Ezekiel 34:12As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep, that are scattered so will I seek out My sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy dark day.
The dark day is when the prince of darkness, Satan, is here on earth pretending to be Jesus. But God's elect will eep the light of Christ shining forth during that time.
Ezekiel 34:13 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
Our Father is speaking, and this will come to pass in the millennium; however, you don't have to wait until then to share the pasture. You can partake of His Word today, if you are willing to study His Word.
Ezekiel 34:14 I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.
This scripture should remind you of Psalm 23. God looks out for you.
Ezekiel 34:15I will feed My flock, and i will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD. I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away and willing up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them judgement.
Judgement begins at the hose of God (l Peter 4:17) Those that misled the flock and rip the flock off by collecting tithes but never getting around to feeding the flock at the front of the line on judgement day. Let's go to the New Testament Book of Luke. God looks after us even through a time of death.
Luke 7:11And it came to pass the day after, that He went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. Now when He came nigh the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
The widow was being left alone to fend for herself with the earth of her son. Evidently, her son was a good man and she was a good woman as it was a large funeral.
Luke 7:13 And when the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her, and said unto her, "Weep not." And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And He said, "Young man, I say unto thee, Arise."
A bier is a coffin together with a stand.
Luke 7:15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.
The widow is symbolic of mother Israel. The message of Jesus Christ delivers her children back to her spiritually alive, rather than spiritually dead.
Luke 7:16And there came a fera on all: and glorified God, saying, that a great ptophet is risen op among us; and, that God hath visited His people.
The word "visited" in this verse has also been translated into English as "Look out". An awe fell upon the people as they witnessed such a miracle, and they perceived that God was looking out for his people. He always does. In conclusion, let's look to the Book of Peter.
l Peter 5:1the elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
Elders should have experience in and knowledge of God's Word. after having asked Peter if he loved Him, Jesus once said, "Feed My sheep" (John 21:15-17). Peter hadn't forgotten what Jesus asked him to do.
l Peter 5:2Feed the flock of God which is amoung you taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
The word "oversight" in this verse has been translated "to look diligently". We see the elders also have some responsibility in looking out for the flock. Part of the elders purpose is to make sure the flock is fed God's Word, and not for money or by force to build their own ego.
l Peter 5:3Neither as being lords over God's heritage but being ensamples to the flock.
Elders, do your best to be a good "example" for the flock to follow. But always remember, none of us are perfect.
l Peter 5:4And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
God looks out for both good and bad. Those who do good receive blessings and rewards. Those who do evil receive chastisement and punishment. Father keeps very good records. We all get exactly what we deserve.
God bless!!

Jerry: Thank you for the comment. I was stationed in Fort Hood also. So many years ago. I don't like to think about it. It is a great base, and Texas is a great state. Any "Cav" unit is likewise. I will keep him in my prayers as requested. I pray for all our troops just before I "check out" every night and many times during the day. No man loves war. But, I do wish I could be with my brother soldiers in this great time in history. Just believe. Your son is doing a very important job. He will, and should be proud of all his life.
Pastor_Ken, Like wise. Thank you for taking time to let me know someone else understands and welcomes such information. It is those like yourself who inspire much information on MyChurch.
