I am Sad( Stop arguing)

I am very sad today. I am sad because there is so much division throughout the church of Christ today. It seems recently that followers spend more time urging over the meaning of scripture to them then doing the job that the Lord has set before us. Now I have been guilty of interpreting the Word to suit myself don’t get me wrong, I think at one point we all have done it. Recently though I am starting to see that any interpretation of scripture besides that of Jesus’ means very little. Lately I have seen brothers and sisters argue back and forth about what is sin and what is not. This saddens my heart! We are divided and I don’t think I have to tell you the danger of that.  He knew what they were thinking and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is destroyed, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.

When we are baptized, ourselves die and Jesus lives inside us, Paul says the totality of who we are is located in Christ. So why do we still disagree so much? Sin still exists! But God is tolerant, God is love, but my friends there is a duality to God as much as He loves He is also righteous and must judge sin no matter what that sin is. He does give us every chance to repent but eventually that time will run out. We must come together! I beg all of you the next time you choose to argue your view on scripture think it does not matter what I think or you think, ask what does Jesus think.

Excellent points Apostle Patrick ! Just before logging in today........the Lord had me look up a certain passage...........

55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Isaiah 55:6-7 KJV

This speaks of a time when it becomes too late to find the Lord ! It says "while He may be found". This also speaks of repentance of wickedness and unrighteous thoughts. One day it will be too late to repent and return to Him !!!
Today is the day of Salvation ! Today is the day to repent and seek God's forgiveness !!

It is sad but orthodoxy cannot compromise with false teaching let them go out from among us as the Bible said they would

False teachings are one thing - they should be APPARENT...and should be removed. But so much of the 'sadness' doesn't come from the TRUE false teachings, but MANS interpretation of what he/she thinks the scripture is saying. That's where division occurs - when my beliefs (backed by various scripture) are attacked by someone elses beliefs (backed up by a slightly different list of scripture). Neither is wrong - they come from God's word - so it requires WORK and EFFORT to understand both sides, not division.

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! I HATE IT! THE DEVIL LOVES IT! A HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF SHALL NOT STAND! WE ARE ALL ONE BODY WITH MANY MEMBERS! GOD BLESS I'M PRAYING ABOUT THIS VERY THING TOO! BLESSED
