Our days are numbered here in Dothan. Before, when I have thought about moving from Dothan, I knew it would be difficult, but right now I can't really feel anything. I guess the finality won't hit me until I'm in a new town with new people. Mark says that I have delayed reactions. Wow, he really knows me. That just must be how I'm made up. We've had many of the rooms painted. The fumes were really strong 2 days ago, I'm surprised that we could actually sleep with it wafting in our nostrils. It looks really nice though. I asked Mark, "Why didn't we do this sooner?" I answered my own question: We have kids, that's why. When we moved here, Toby was 6 and Chloe was 11 months, she couldn't even walk. There were handprints on the wall going up the stairs because she couldn't reach the handrail. We've done a lot of growing up while living in this house, in more ways than one. Toby's 10 and Chloe is 4 (5 next week). Toby is at Jr. Conservatory right now. He's so fickle sometimes when it comes to musical instruments. He's gone through an evolution when it comes to instruments that he's interested in playing. He's come full circle because he chose to take the instrument that he was first interested in playing: trombone. He picked this when he was only 2. I'm looking forward for him to show me what he's learned and to tell me about camp in general. I'm glad he's getting this experience.
Until next time.... |
