| Aramaic and Greek Bible text differ from the Latin |
|
| |
When the Catholic church tranlated the Holy Bible from the Aramaic and the Greek they tranlated most words to fit with the Latin language. The problem with the Latin is that it does not have a future tense and therefor anything written as prophesy is hard for some people to understand because it is translated into past tense. Many people then believe that the events in the Bible have already come to pass and that the rapture will not happen.
Pastor Melissa Scott at the Cathedral has been teaching the diffrence between the Latin translation and 17 various languages from around including the original Hebrew (Aramaic) and greek. In Daniel 9 there is a refrence to the end of the vision and the prophesy. In the true Hebrew translation the word prophesy is actually Prophet. Giving a whole new meaning to the scripture.
To truely understand prophesy we need to go back to the origanal language to find out what the writer was truely meaning and not what the latin says it is. |
