I have been doing a lot of thinking and praying about this as of late. I think that mychurch is a great community and I enjoy being a part of it. I also enjoy helping churches find a place on the web. All these things are great. I think its great that people have a place to share their thoughts, fellowship with one another, etc. While I'm fully supportive of this feature on mychurch and I believe people should share their prayer requests on blogs its not possible for the staff to go to every blog, and comment them. This can create a problem for several reasons. One people may post prayer requests and people may or may not comment them or share them with others. I am a firm believer that people need to know by comments that you are praying for them. Experience has taught me this lesson even if its just a little note to say I'm praying or a longer note, or even a written prayer. I have started a prayer group here on mychurch for this sole purpose so that people can pray for one another.
