Cheryl, I like this, LOL.........hubby always gripes, LOL, cause I'm half -full.......drives him crazy, LOL
And you're right.......the water in the glass is the same, it's just in how we view it.
I guess my attitude during trials is that I'm trying to figure out what God wants me to learn from it. This is where I'm supposed to grow, right?
Besides, wallowing in the trial doesn't make it get over any faster, doesn't make it go away, doesn't draw me closer to God, and doesn't do much for social relationships, either :)
There are many empty cups, expecting to be filled by others, when the true source of filling is God. :)
Thanks for posting this :)

Great message.

I find my perspective, in many cases, depends on how tired I am...not just sleepy tired, but just plain tired...when I get myself refreshed...whether through sleep or through worship...the attitude changes significantly...

Sometimes Cheryl my out look is where is God, but His word says that nothing is too hard for Him. I have to believe.

Don't look at how big the problem is to us in our humanly view point...God is bigger and He sees on the other side of the bridge of our circumstances before we do and knows the answer.

A woman from church one day said that we always tell God how big our storm is AND that maybe we should tell the storm how big our God is. Pretty awesome. His Grace is Enough....................

I did a blog similar to this, about the glass half full or empty.  It is all in how we look at life as to whether we will find joy or sorrow.

Amen, even in trials....count it all joy!  God has it under control,,,no matter what is happening.

Funny (great) comment, Jerome! Jesus did say "I have come that they might have life, and have it to the full." So I try to experience it this way. Outlook is 90% perspective!!

Actually, I read an article about this from a well known modern day philosopher.  The key word is "half".  This philosopher insists there is no difference because half of anything always leaves two portions.  From there, it's only a matter of choice based on our frame of mind, the only variable in the equation.  Since we are fickle in our moods at any given time, the choice is irrelevant--it makes no difference because tomorrow we may choose the other.  Kind of a defeatist attitude, wouldn't you say?
