Your comment on my page says it all...Love you lotts....

Oh guess what I seen though...This morning when I was writing about how He sees through the cracks and bruises...He showed me that clay pot or vessel...and I seen the cracks and bruises full of light...He uses those to make Himself known to others...The light shines through...We overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of our Testimony!!!

And the above comments with the dirty clothes made me think of your other blog on Being Thankful...Uh Huh...isn't the New Covenant we have soooo much better than that old one...Smooches!!!

So glad we don't remain the same, but are new creations in Him.

My favorite part of this verse is that "old things are passed away."  I am so glad Jesus has left my past behind me!

Hey Cindy Lou Who,

Consider this.  Even though 2 Cor. 5:17 says what it says... the only way we can benifit from it, is if we believe it and reckon on it daily. The truth will set us free... IF we believe it and if we will reckon on it.

Also, I notice you said, "The old man is still present in the new life and expresses himself in corrupting deeds."

No, I disagree. 2 Cor. 5:17 says, the old has gone and the new has come. The only reason we act like we do is because we do not renew our minds with the truth. We think on our behaviors instead of believing the truth and depending on God to back up His word in our experience. The truth can set us free... IF we will believe it and reckon on it.

Also... I think this verse says the old man was crucified and is dead, "knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin (Rom.6:6,7)."

P.S.  Many like Cindy Lou Who... and I do too.
