12:2 But there is nothing covered up, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. 12:3 Wherefore whatsoever ye have said in the darkness shall be heard in the light; and what ye have spoken in the ear in the inner chambers shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. Written on the June 23, 2008 the Lord’s year by Patrick a servant of God chosen to be an apostle of Jesus Christ. We have all seen stone statues of various historical figures they are amazing works of art created in most cases by a person using only a simple hammer and chisel. Imagine the skill and patience required to accomplish such a feat. I am sure though that no matter the skill of the artist mistakes happened and someone’s face had a nose chiseled off. OPPS! Well marble was an expensive thing back in the day so an artist could not just discard it; instead he/she would mold a piece of wax in the shape of the damaged piece missing from the statue. To a casual observer any mistake could hardly be noticed until sunshine hit it and the warmth melted the wax. A genuine statue in Latin would be called sine cera giving us the English word sincere. A statue is a representation of the original and if it has no hidden flaws then it was considered sincere. You and I are copies of the original! Jesus Christ! We will never be as perfect as the original, but WE MUST NOT TRY TO HIDE OUR INPERFECTIONS. If we do when the Son shines all will be revealed. |
