| Calls and outage! |
| |
Calls over the weekend.
Ok, so the serious stuff first and then the funny. Then I will get to the stuff God showed me sitting in the dark on a blog for tomorrow- AND MOM!!! OMGosh! WOOHOO is God doing a work in her!! WOW I love my MC BFFs so much! I missed you all like crazy cuz you guys are such a HUGE part of my life now.
The calls were great! The camping out was fun! Only the "dirty bubble" was ... not so much!
You know Scott's cell mate that just got transferred recently right? Well his wife called and asked for prayers after asking what happened with Scott's recent court date and telling me their story. Same bogus stuff happened to them but of course I can't share their story- on a more personal level and not business related.
Shawn called and I hear a really good plan in the works. God is good! He's getting with several people in the Parish today and collecting info to verify the final outcome of the courts. He says Scott must not have heard it all cuz customers were still talking (not sure that's the right word) with him when Shawn was speaking with the Judge at the end. He is going to do an update blog once he gets the paperwork. But it was not left with a check being given over to the courts. That was what they wanted- but Shawn and the lawyer made the specific request for direct to the customers.
Ok, power company....
Let me start by saying that I believe this outage was for Mom. I have been with her for 8 months now not pushing the Bible at her but showing a living example. Let me tell you... she passed with flying colors!! WooHoo!!! This is the first time something has come up where she remained calm. Friday night as the sun was going down and the house was HOT- she realized and came to terms with, it's not coming back on.
Now mind you I do have guilt because I was so wrapped up in what happened last week and buried in the things my Husband asked me to do. Nevertheless... God gets the Glory for the changes in Mom. (she says Scott will never believe it- oh yes he will)
Then, she was so floored to hear how hard you ladies had tried to get it on. It blew her away. I think I've told you all that she won't read my blogs. When something comes up and she can tell it's bad, she sits there with tears welled up in her eyes and shakes her head.. "No. No don't tell me." she says. So I pick and choose what I tell her carefully. HOWEVER, I brought her to Hal's pre-victory victory party and she LOVED it! She wanted the the party pic for her background on the comp. So, yes- that's what I did.
Then I have shown her some of the fun stuff - ie comments you guys leave, pics you all send. I've shown her pets- sorry Who, couldn't help it- gotta love the Tank. SO... she is starting to get a glimps of the Christian community. And I think she likes it. Now if I could just get her into an actual building.
Ok, "dirty Bubbles"
Attack of another closet! I will post pictures on this - I hope - of some of the treasures burried in there. Curly Locks said she thought no one was ever allowed in that closet. Well, I think everything was so dust covered no one wanted to touch it - LOL I would SOOO love to put before and after pics but I couldn't embarras Mom like that. So here's what I've been doing.....
I told you all about Mom's reading area
The fridge! Had to- I'm just so proud!

Beautiful blog... could hear and see the peace in your words. God is doing GREAT things in the midst of this year of your life; you will not even smell of smoke when it's over. Praise God for MOM... and that you (His angels) are there with her showing her the Way.
Bless you bless you bless you bless you... 1,000 times. (Deut 1:11) Love and agreement for ALL you need, want, and are hoping for through Faith in HIM.

The funnest part was reading the calendar! In the Sept photo I wanted to show what it says under the pic of the Mom and son. It is back to school lunch ideas in red letters. (flash messed it up- urg) it reads....Taste-tempting, mouth watering.... here's an ideal menu for the child who is about to start school and carry lunches. Not only is it appealing, but it is nutritionally right: Poppy seed roll with salami and lettuce potato chips pickle slices carrot curls radish roses peach slices with cinnamon cokies milk
LOLOL... what did they cary!?!?!?!? |
| What a weekend you Dirty Bubble...hahaha! Love those pics...lol ..something hit my funny bone...I think I'll grab pickle, if you don't mind...I'll be back! ooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh |

Ahhhhhhhhhh, my dear Bub "The dust bunny killer", ya passed the test!!!!!! Love the pics...and can't wait until tomorrow! BTW.....I used to have to make radish roses and carrot curls, LOLOLOL......when I was a teenager working in a military kitchen, LOLOLOL I could really decorate food beautifully.....just couldn't cook it, ROTFLOL, but it was pretty!!!!!! Now I know that my mom wasn't June Cleaver, cause I started school that year and I ate in the lunchroom, LOLOLOL This will be my excuse now for all the bad I've done in my life! |
LOLOL... OMGosh!!! See, I can cook- and used to do it for a LARGE group all the time! But did not have the time to make it so pretty. So the two of us in the kitchen... *phew*
YES! I hate dust bunnies! No matter how cute they are! hehe |
Oh, now I am a good cook, but as a teenager nope! The biggest group I ever used to cook for....well, me and 7 other cooks cooked for 3000 per meal, LOLOL When I got married, I couldn't cook....had to read the package to know how to make kool-aid! Family now would love me to open a restaurant.....I have the head knowledge ( business management in college) can cook ( and have the type of place I want, all homemade) but I don't want to spend my whole life running a business like that, LOLOL |
Ah ha! Sounds like you learned the way I did. I was 17 and cooking for a family of 4. I tried something big one day- it was a blackened mess!! Time to go out to eat! LOL Trial and error is the fastest way to learn anything. |
Bub, I made gravy once as a teenager, mom was in the hospital.......the spoon would stand straight up in it, it didn't even qualify as glue, and the dogs wouldn't even eat it, LOLOL Then when we first got married, we had our first dinner guest. I made spaghetti, ROTFLOL....when hubby's friend went to pull the sphagetti out onto his plate.....the whole glob came out of the bowl, all stuck together, ROTFLOL |
| LOLOL totally relate!! I did that one too! |
