Philippians 3:12-13 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Paul the Apostle was one of the greatest preachers of his day, in-fact he wrote and preached more than any of us could probably hope for and yet he remained teachable.
How is it that a man of his ability and skill remain with such a teachable Spirit?
If we are to look at the preachers of today those that call themselves Bishops, Evangelist, Prophets , and so-on we can see so clearly that many of them don’t possess the same type of Spirit.
Why is that?
It is my belief that many have been infected with the applause of the crowed as if they were gladiators in the arena fighting and conquering, “I do think that they should be “fighting and conquering” but it should be for the edification of the body and the fight should be against Hell itself!
I have seen less fighting against hell and the edification of the body than you can imagine , and if you look around I’m sure you would see the same thing.
You can see it in the people who are being ministered to,
you can hear it in the media, and you can even read it in a blog,
All over the world the cheers for Bishop so and so or Pastor hip-hop. What happen to JESUS?
Why are the applause all for who said what?
It is because many of the Spiritual leaders of today do not have a teachable Spirit, nor do they teach Jesus and Him crucified!
Just stop and listen, who’s name do you hear?
Paul said, “Not as though I had already attained..”
If you are a Pastor, Teacher, Bishop, Evangelist etc., and your name goes before Jesus; Ask yourself do you remain teachable?
